Here's Rotoworld's take on Brady's EEI interview:

Tom Brady said Tuesday that he'd "welcome [Randy Moss] back with open arms" if the Patriots decide to bring the retired receiver back.

Brady and Moss are good friends, so this is no surprise. However, it would be a stunner if the Pats actually brought Moss out of retirement. Moss proved last year that the drama he comes with is no longer balanced out by his on-field production. Moss had nine catches in four games for New England last year and then was essentially benched by the Vikings and Titans.

LOL! I am nitpicking?!? You are right. Moss is awesome! Belichick would have been crazy to trade Moss away last year considering he was such a dominant force in the Pats' 14-2 season. Do you think Brady could have gotten 36 TDs and only 4 INTs if Moss wasn't on the team all year last year. Oh wait.

If Moss was remotely any good and would have helped the team, Belichick would never had traded him and he certainly would be on the Patriots roster right now since he could be had for an one year veteran minimum contract.

It isn't nitpicking when you stat the glaring facts. Moss is not a receiver who can or will fight for the ball anymore. He can get beat in one on one match ups. Brady makes most of his interceptions over the last two years trying to get the ball to him.

Seriously, does anyone really believe that if Belichick thought Moss could be a positive addition to the team, he wouldn't have resigned him by now? It's not like there are teams beating down Moss' door and Belichick doesn't want to get into a bidding war. Moss wants to play for the Patriots and would probably take the veteran minimum to do so. Belichick never came calling though.

You are nitpicking such that you are attempting to excuse away TD's that actually took place rather than accepting it is what it is. And it was what it was with Moss and TD's a record setting number of times while he donned Pats colors.

Of note. My point isn't that Moss is awesome. My point is that Moss was still a productive player while he was a Patriot and was jettisoned away not because he no longer could perform. His TD production while here clearly demonstrates that he was performing, right up until he was cut. It's his attitude which caused him to get waived. I might add that I'm perfectly fine with that.

It isn't 2007 anymore. Moss is no longer a WR who will fight for balls and he made Brady a worse QB because he tried to force the ball into him. He had two TDs against the Bills who gave up the sixth most passing TDs in the league last year. In three other games, he had one TD and don't nitpick and say Brady didn't target him in the Miami game.

Let's all agree that Moss is an elite WR and no team wants to touch him with a ten foot pole because of his attitude. That is why TO career ended after the Eagles cut him, Albert Haynesworth doesn't have a job right now, the Pats decided not to trade for Corey Dillon when the Bengals were done for him, etc.

1. Stating that he wanted Moss back, or
2. Hinting that Moss IS coming back.

I think if he was asked about Adalius Thomas or someone that he truly didn't want back, he would've said something along the lines of "We've got a lot of talented players that have been through camp with us, but I'll support whatever the front office wants to do."

All you Moss haters cannot tell me a motivated Moss wouldn't be a bigger contributor to the Pats this season than that 6th cb that got cut from the Texans.

LOL! You blind worshiper of the cult of Moss are dillusional. Moss isn't employed now because he is too awesome for an NFL roster. No team wants to touch him because the rest of their team look so average that they are worried about the psyche of their team.

Face facts. Everyone except the Moss worshipers know that Moss is done. He has shown enough about an attitude correction this offseason that it shouldn't be an issue. If the Pats are willing to risk bringing in Haynesworth who has had a far worse attitude than Moss, why wouldn't they bring Moss back already if they thought he was awesome.
