PFT: James Harrison retires

I still feel like James Harrison could rip a human being in half at his age.

It wouldn’t be impossibly surprising if he ended up on the “Shadow roster” and makes a late season return a la Junior Seau if things get ugly at that position again.
If one things for sure you know that guy isn’t going to just simply stop being an absolute savage/let himself get out of shape by not throwing weights around

I just think people had a much higher opinion of Harrison's play in the Super Bowl than I did. To me, he looked like he could still rush the passer a little, but was a total liability against the run. That's exactly not the kind of player the Patriots usually employ.
I didn’t think that he was nearly as stout against the run as many were suggesting, either. I think that he was a serviceable late season pickup considering the options that were available, but I also can’t imagine Belichick sugar coating his potential role for 2018, either. I think he shot him straight.

We’re getting Hightower back, Rivers back, and expecting another high round pick at the position, this year. Add in KVN and a ST only LB like M.Flowers, and it was getting pretty crowded on the depth chart. I don’t think Belichick would blow smoke up his ass like the Steelers did, regarding his playing time and the possibility of being a gameday inactive.

A PATRIOTS LEGEND !

Yeah, much like Michael Floyd, but in the case of Harrison, he actually did something and played meaningful snaps when it mattered.

Should be inducted into Patriots Ring of Honor, just to laugh at Pittsburgh (even though there’s plenty to laugh at already).

He will have a lot more time to beat women now. But how is he going to force young, fit men to rub soap all over his naked body in the shower now? I don't think he's thought this through. Either way, good riddance to the POS.
