I'm not saying he doesn't. He needs to make that leap, he just wasn't anywhere near as good against man last year. Whether that was Mac not recognizing NFL open or receivers not being able to get open, or some combination of the two. I'm hoping Mac makes a leap against recognizing how to play man better this year.I've seen film of Mac making tight throws against man coverage...it's not as if he doesn't have the ability to play against man.
Not saying you are wrong, but what is your evidence that the Pats underperformed vs man coverage last year?I'm not saying he doesn't. This breakdown has his stats against man and zone. I'm not saying its all Mac, but there was a distinct difference in his stats when playing man. I also don't agree with everything in the video about stability, etc. But he does make a point about how he plays vs man.Not saying you are wrong, but what is your evidence that the Pats underperformed vs man coverage last year?
@ashley1992 what did you find confusing about this post? I can explain it differently and maybe you’ll get “un-confused.”

I took your advice...but it didn't work. Went from 6 to midnight!A little more verbiage via Reiss. Some of you may want to take a cold shower before reading...
"We're just a lot further ahead in the conversation [offensively]," Belichick said. "The plays that we talk about, or concepts we talk about, Mac has already done it before. It's easy for him to say, 'Are we going to do this on that? Are we going to do this on something else? What do you think about splitting them a little bit wider? Splitting them a little bit tighter.' Suggestions like that.
"And we have a much better feel for what he can do, what his strengths are, and how to try to play into those. He's self-aware, too. He knows what he does well. We want to try to feature those."
New England Patriots' Mac Jones made 'tremendous strides' during NFL offseason, Bill Belichick says
Patriots coach Bill Belichick said quarterback Mac Jones has "made tremendous strides" coming off his rookie season and is "starting from a much, much higher point this year."www.espn.com
More importantly, QB rankings based off what? Why do you come on another team’s board to troll?
So...you were confused?Lol, my fault Kontra, I meant to put "Agree" which is right next to "confused"

It's an honest ranking. Why are you always crying? Why do you come on another team’s board to troll?
Best to worst quarterback heading into the season.More importantly, QB rankings based off what?
37-12. NFL MVP. TD% of 6.3%. 98.1 passer rating. 6 yards per rushing attempt. What's the problem? He in fact is of the more likely to move up the rankings. And lol at Lamar Jackson at 10th best…
Allen wasn't "horrid" in his second season. He accounted for 29 TDs (9 rushing). Right now, he's a beast, hence the top spot heading into the season. Allen and Mahomes are debatable for the top spot but they're above everyone else.Damn good spot for a 2nd year QB, a lot higher than Josh Allen was his 2nd year unless you've suffered amnesia and forgot about his first couple horrid years in the league before he developed into the elite QB he is today
Stafford is waaaay too low. Should be top 5 minimum. Watson, who hasn't played in over a year, is too high.QB Rankings for the 2022 Season

Josh Allen sucked until he got a top flight receiver. If he played in NE, he would still be putting up those same horrible numbers.Damn good spot for a 2nd year QB, a lot higher than Josh Allen was his 2nd year unless you've suffered amnesia and forgot about his first couple horrid years in the league before he developed into the elite QB he is today
So are you old enough to remember Scott Norwood or is last year your most painful memory as a sports fan?Allen wasn't "horrid" in his second season. He accounted for 29 TDs (9 rushing). Right now, he's a beast, hence the top spot heading into the season. Allen and Mahomes are debatable for the top spot but they're above everyone else.
