Peters to the Commanders

Who is responsible for Boney T?

I hope it was Bill & Al Groh's kid, and not Eliot Wolf.

The hard-on that so many Pats fans have for Peters is funny. He didn’t have final say on player acquisition with the Niners and none of us have any idea whether he would have chosen the same players as the true decision makers in SF. Let’s also not forget that SF made one of the worst trades in the history of the draft when they gave up three first round picks for Lance. Was Peters a strong proponent of that trade? Would have been a valid concern for a team with the 3rd pick in this year’s draft and a need for a QB.

After the Mayo hire I lost all hope. No new GM, nobody from outside, more Judge, more Achord...
Kraft is the GM. Kraft decided that after 20 successful years with bb running the ship, at the first step back it was time for Kraft to be in charge. This was after an unprecedentedly long run of being on top. And after BB telling us they sold out to stay on top (and it worked).
What does Kraft do?
-he criticizes the draft and requires changes
-after the answer to selling out to stay on top was a windfall of cap space that resulted in 45% of the snaps being played by new players and a playoff berth with a rookie qb (far, far exceeding any reasonable expectation) he criticizes the spending
-next he usurps BBs authority to hire assistants
-next in 2023 he gives belichicks job to mayo, effective after 2024 making bb a lame duck and evidently empowering Mayo to campaign through media leaks to move it up a year
-next BB determines the QB sucks and wants to trade him, and Kraft forced him to run with 10
-10 is the worst qb in the NFL and personally is responsible for 5 losses in a 2-9 start that qb who was just mediocre would have won.

So, what do we have now? Kraft finds the least experienced coach he can to put in charge so that he will get no resistance.

We have gone from the franchise of the decade in 2000 and 2010s to what Kraft wants in the 20s and at this point seen in track to go from the most wins in 2 consecutive decades to the fewest in this one

You imply the first step back was this year
Therefore...Brady's departure....not a step back
N'Keal Harry .......
Mac
Boney T
The Chattanooga Kid
Fat Matt
The other dullard coach
ST busts
TE whiffs
WR jaggage galore
etc etc et
Therefore........... All......not step backs

No, the first step back was arguably either 2020 or 2022. He started meddling long before 2023.

As long as there is a new signal caller I’m optimistic.
We have to leave the draft with one Of Williams, Maye, Daniel’s, Pennix, Nix,
Or trade for Browning, Fields or rebuild Lock or Stidham.
I’m giving a lot of leeway here.
Ty Law has expressed taking Marvin Harrison at #3 would be a home run. Saying a team can win with a serviceable QB. Hearing that, I'd be open to "trying to win" with Bailey Zappe, if McD will take over at OC. That would give us a chance to get a stud O lineman with our second pick.

I like Nix or Pennix in the second to match with Harrison.
