Peter King is an idiot, Part 3245678

Broncos defense is the same as last year, when they were also very good. No one acknowledged it because that would change the narrative that Manning IS the team.

People think that Wade Phillips is making this defense elite. But the thing is with Wade Phillips, he usually has initial success with his defenses and they get worse over time. And Brady usually does well against them. Here is an article from SMY on the history of Brady vs. Phillips

http://www.boston.com/sports/footba...ps-defenses/PK3oyXIsVS0UvZb9jYV3XJ/story.html

And one from Christopher Price:

I want to see the Broncos' defense vs. a team like the Pats who can spread them out and use Phillip's overly aggressive style against them like the Pats always do. Brady always gets the best of these types of defenses. I think the Chargers will too in the division.

They seem to have improved, not sure if it is b/c of different head coach, or they are at peak health right now, but they looked *really* good. So even if they are the "same" personnel wise, they didn't look the same. Though admittedly I didn't watch them much last year except in their losses.
Wade phillips scheme is certainly more aggressive than jack del rio and he is better than JDR. Brady would play JDR any week without hesitation.

Too early to mean anything.
As for his analysis of the Pats/Bills, isn't it amazing that he can get paid for writing what you could hear in any bar in Boston or Buffalo?

Both guys are two of Brady's favorite defensive coordinators to play against. Brady owns both Del Rio and Phillips. He would take either one.

Power rankings are meaningless, but they usually have the defending Champs #1 until they're beaten idk why people think New England are a weaker team than Denver and Green Bay.

Granted Peter King is not as an idiot as Walter at Walter Football who has dubbed Tom Brady as a "rotting corpse" who is done and can do nothing but throw check downs. And his performance on Thursday was "check down after check down" and not impressive. He ranks the Patriots 9th and brings up the cheating scandal that was proven wrong.

He is so butt hurt over Brady winning in court that he is throwing away any credibility he had to trash Brady.

Here is what Walter wrote about the Pats:

Holy crap. That guy is a moron.

We have predicted that before about KC vs denver. They just cant seem to beat them.

Sure, but Denver is a lot weaker than it has been in recent years. This is easily the worst team they've had since Manning has been there.

GB will shred them too.

Not to sound arrogant but all the Pats need to do is stay healthy, hungry and improve on D.
Yeah, you almost hate to say it, but I tend to agree. Health is always paramount, of course. But beyond that, you have to love where the Pats are.

are you guys seriously griping about power rankings? if manning doesn't make mistakes his defense and running game could lead them to a lot of wins.

Isn't that the same Broncos defense that Brady shred last year?

for the most part but they added shane ray and now have a healthy LB core. they ate better.

Hilarious that he mentions the 460 yards yet fails to mention how the Pats held them to 3 pts through 40 minutes and 14 points through 59:58 and had a clutch interception

the only time I go to SI is monday morning to read Don Banks 'Bank shots' column.

Denver always struggles with TEs. They've never had an answer for Gronk. Chandler had a good game against them last season. They're both going to have a field day this year.

My response to anything ESPN, SI, NFL, and other haters.

abd the girls at the garden club send their best to them as well.

Power rankings are useless. Some of the idiotic logic behind some of them deserved to be mocked.
