I'm excited but, when does a kid's college coach ever put him down in the pros?

its exciting to think about, hopefully he can live up to his potential and be a dual threat with Chandler Jones for the next 10 years, murdering QBs together.

Didn't Pete Carroll feel Mark Sanchez was not ready for the NFL Draft and should come back to school?

I thought of that, but I think that was before he decided, no?

Good point if I'm wrong, but generally, if you're a good guy, your coach should put in a good word and there's nothing wrong with that. Especially with what this guy went through with the reaction to that medicine.

Glad to see Pete was "pumped and jacked" about Armstead...

I expect Armstead to break the single season sack record this year.. SB baby!

I was thinking the same thing. 4.65 as an OL?? Lets hope hes related!!

Could provide the type of deep-threat WR the Pats need

That 4.65 40 by Terron is equivalent to a WR running a 4.1 40 apparently.

I want two Armstead's on this team.

Heard they were cousins. I wonder why nobody has ever tried to convert that kid to DL. That ability and size you'd have to think would be disruptive.

I hate to be the debby downer, but the weight/speed curve is not linear. There are hard caps on muscle contraction velocity that cap speed more than load (weight of the individual).

I really wasn't suggesting that if he gets down to 200lbs that he'll start running 4.1's. It just demonstrates how remarkable the achievement of an OL running sub 4.7 is.
