I think that Day 3 has two very, very different parts.
======
THROUGH THE 4th (5 picks)
We have an opportunity to get true top contributors (Consider Woodson).
Of course, those drafted in the 4th have always made the patriots roster (or IR).

THE IN-BETWEEN BRIDGE - Round 5) (1 pick)
We all hope that this player makes the roster. It seems that it is usually close as it was the case with Swinson.

AFTER THE FIFTH (5 picks)
All draftees are low probability shots in the dark.
Many here seem to expect serious contributors here.
For me, this is time for the dart board, taking players with issues, and for special teamers. Boutte and Douglas were great successes.
For me, getting one regular 2025 position player to 53 and active was a major plus (Bryant)
For me, getting Vrabel's choice of ST players was also a major plus. Of course, many always want us to wait until the UDFA's to get STers.

MY BOTTOM LINE (SIX to the 53)
I expect 4 contributors in the first 4 rounds.
I expect one long shot to make the 53.
I expect at least one STer to make the 53.
I hope for one pick to be traded into 2027
Anything more is gravy.

Assuming we've addressed RT and EDGE...

R4/5 could be where we get our TE and IOL. Raridon/Zuhn for example.

R6/7 is where I'd likely take a look at skill position players. Adam Randall/Kendrick Law
