Pay the money and go to the games

Than you can't really biatch about the behavior of the Fans that were there. Sorry.
So what is your logic here...so people who go to teh games pay money? Is that the logic?

1) What you see on TV and what you witness in-person are often a little different.

2) Yup, I pay the money, therefore I can boo if I want (I never do) and cheer when I want (I always do).

No - I gave you a response, you just didn't like it.

You just can't seem to understand how the fans saying "Hey - you're New England Patriots - we know you're better than that - no dig deep and perfrom" by showing their displeasure might prompt some members - not all to dig deep and perform.

I gave you a football example - a coach effectively "booing" his player - who responded with 96 passes. Ring a bell?

And as to your assertion that the Patriots were playing to full potential, I defy anyone to try to tell me that the Patriots were playing at full potential on sunday either - Belichick didn't believe that was the case -so let's hope not

Full potential? No. Full effort. Yes, I think so.

I couldn't boo my own team. Then again, I would never shout insults at an opposing player either. I just don't feel comfortable acting that way toward anyone. But as for leaving early...I'll say this: I didn't watch the end of the game on tv. Why? Was it because I'm a fairweather fan? A "pink hat"? Not hardly. It's because it just became too painful.

Sometimes watching a team you really care about play badly gets you so upset that it's not healthy. I'm sure I'm not the only one who lay awake all night after the Superbowl feeling physically ill. When I get too worked up during a tense (or disastrous game), I have to turn off the tv.

Is it different for fans in the stadium, who could be seen as disrespecting the players on the field by walking out? Maybe, I guess. In that case it's probably best that I'm not a season ticket holder!

Was it painful? Yes. But I felt that I had to watch every single play (remembering how many games I couldn't watch in the past). I couldn't listen to the announcers and, at the end of the game, I couldn't get to switch off the TV fast enough. Colts-Jaguars? No way!

Really? Seeing the Colts lose took some sting out of it

But seeing the amazing comeback by Trent Edwards and his Bills against the disfunctional Raiders brought that little bit of light about the Colts losing back to sadness again

1) Really...you mean the TV doesn't pick up...???? That I really don't understand...and what you see there is quite a lot less than one sees on TB.
2) Yup, you can show your lack of character proudly.

Fans that do not actually go to the games have absolutely no right to call out the behavior of the fans that do.
And why is that?? NO RIGHT?? Are you serious?? please explain...

Well, I guess that if you'd have told me in advance that the Colts would lose, perhaps I'd have watched. But I was so worked up that I just needed to get my mind off football. Sat down at my desk and did some work!

Have you ever been to a game? You love to dismiss the fact that people pay outrageous ticket prices to have the "privilege" of cheering (not booing) the Pats when they play like garbage.

Get off your high horse. If you live in New England and haven't been to a game then my already low opinion of you is going to be beyond low.

Well, that may have been a bit harsh, as a fan, you can react whatever way you want....but I dare say that someone (like me) that dishes out $117 per game and $40 to park per game has a right to boo (which I've stated I do not) if they beleive the product, or service, they purchased wasn't worth the money they paid. For example, if you go to a high end retsurant and pay a lot of money for a filet mignon that taste like tar, you have a right to biatch if you choose to.

Last Sundays performance was abysmal. Aside from Hobbs' ko retuns, the team just flat out sucked. From the coaches to the d-line. Although I prefer to air my disgust to the poor person sitting next to me, I understand why people boo'ed on Sunday. That is all I'm saying. How people can call it classless is weird to me, especially when you weren't at the game. Totally different perspective.

hey..if you don't like teh outrageous prices... you know what DON'T BUY A TICKET!!! It's thatsimple!!! .or maybe you havem't thought of that. I am surprised that one who has been a fan fot a long time would have your attitude..Clearly, longevity doesn't equal understanding..OR being more of a fan. "high horse"?? It's your type that make Freeman's articke so true.

SO you dished out a lot of money?? OK...so...DON'T GO then!! If you don't like what this organization has done..DON'T SUPPORT IT!! It's that simple. Why do you think it weird that people acting like two year olds are anything BUT classless?? SO..I wasn't at the game.. SO WHAT??? Totally different perspective?? Not being in the iddle of drunken mindlessness?? What perspectibe am I missing?? You can't even tell me...the mob mentality reacting??

Garbanza bought tickets for a game. She bought them before the game. Do you understand that? She didn't boo the team but stated that she understood why people did.

So now you call people who go to Pats games "drunken mindless" people? Your argument, or lack thereof, is awful.

Continue to sit behind your keyboard and go on mindless rants. Its amusing.

Hey buddy...learn to read..or are you illiterate..
"Totally different perspective??" do you remember stating that? Hmmm I wonder.
"Not being in the middle of drunken mindlessness??" THAT is what I said...I DID NOT state that I thought that at all..but...you missed that fact.
What perspective am I missing?? You can't even tell me..
YOUR words.. you CLAIMED that being at the game offered "a totally different perspective" Well??? .I was asking about what that was. "Not being in the middle of drunken mindlessness??"...THAT was a question...Do you see the question mark? Do you even KNOW what a question mark means? Somehow asking a question with a possibility is NOW stating a fact...GREAT logic!!
Continue to be an embarrasment...learn to read and understand..
NOW you claimed something that I said that I did not it was a QUESTION..
your answer to what I asked? Duh..... NO ANSWER!!!! So you CLAIM
there is some "SPECIAL PERSPECTIVE" that ONLY those to games have.
AND?? What is that??

The CAPITAL words you use are very funny. We disagree on booing the home team. Unlike you, I don't call the people I disagree with names.

It would be great if you could answer the questions I asked you.

1). Have you ever been to a Pats home game?
2). Do you live in New England?
3). Do you know how much a face value ticket costs to a Pats game?

I tried to be nice earlier by referring to your comparison of Parcells/Glenn to fans booing as "apples and oranges." It's silly to suggest they're even remotely similar.

I'm sorry, but the same goes for your idea that booing motivates players to "dig down deep and perform." I don't know if you've ever been in an NFL locker room or have spoken to any players at length on this and other topics (I have). I can tell you unequivocally that booing doesn't motivate them to play harder or smarter. It just reminds them how stupid fans can be.

Finally, of course the Pats didn't play to their potential Sunday. They did, however, play hard. They just looked bad in the process because Miami took it to them.

well, see, this is what I am saying about a different perspective. If you went to a game, you would know:

1) the days of drunken mindlessness at Gillette are long gone.
2) what mob mentality? If it were a mob mentality- most in attendance would just be sitting on their hands (and I 've gone on record saying that these folks are most bothersome).
3) At the game, I can see the entire play developing, damned if it did seem like many Pats players were giving up.
4) The Northeast is brutal. Boston, NY, Philly. It's a pro-sports area. Its' a "what have you done for me lately" area. Sure, you have your memories - but like a microwave - we want "NOW" too. If warm and fuzzy is what you want, you ought to move to South Carolina where you can follow Clemson Football and never, ever boo. Just cheer. Go Tigers.

I want to know one thing..

Patriots fans who attend the games say the stadium is not made for noise so complaining about cheering is dumb because the stadium is not built that way

But now people are saying the boos are loud enough to cause discussion? - If cheering is not loud because of the stadium then how can the boos be?
