See ya Sunday night...oh wait

I've been a Patriots fan and season ticket holder since Babe Parilli was throwing and Bo Nance running...AND...I've ALWAYS felt better that I'm NOT a Steeler fan...my whole life...which is why I don't post at Steeler boards.Your deep seated insecurity is duly noted. Post on Mr. Objectivity, we'll see how you feel at 7:30 Sunday night.

Good day, Surly

LOL. Just the response I was expecting. Win, Lose or Draw I'll be here on Monday morning. God knows I've OWNED you in this thread, so hopefully you'll be more competitive when I see you again. In the meantime, read some books about football so you have an understanding of the game for our next conversation.

BTW, tonight's a school night so don't forget to do your homework.

Let's play Steeler Fan Objectivity...the game that PROVES how objective Steeler fan really is!!!

Mine would be Brady boy....uuhhh the dude just bugs me with just the way he looks with his shiney white teeth. Can't stand the blank expressionless look on his face all the time. Man I hope he's pulling grass from his facemask often on sunday. Hopefully we get the dogs on him quick and often. I think theres a bounty out for his head. Heheee, I can picture either, Harrison,Haggans or Troy taken a good shot at him.... keep your head up Brady, thats all I gots ta say and ya better bring your A game cause Pittsburghs coming with a vengence. I think the whole country will be pulling for the Steelers to win this game gauranteed !!!!! I smell a big victory for the black n gold ....

I don't hate, period, but I have a serious dislike for Smelly-cheat. He reminds of either the evil emperor from Star Wars with that hood, or Betty Rubble with that hair band. I just don't know who he's trying to be, but seems to be some gender confusion with him/her.

That's an easy answer; I hate them all! No, I do dislike Tom Brady, I think he's too arrogant.

Rodney Harrison. Nothing good about him. He is a low talent dirty, cheap shot artist who got what he deserved when Ced Wilson rolled up un his knee. I just wish it would have been a little worse injury. He's hurt too many people with dirty hits, Jerry Rice in particular.

Brady bothers me the most. It seems like anytime something goes wrong for their offense, he's whining to the ref about it.

LOL, you're freakin hilarious! What does his post have to do with me? How does his post reflect my thoughts and opinions? Wait, wait, wait... I really want to be clear about this. You're trying to use his post against me? That post tells me all I need to know about you joker. Do me a favor and just don't bother talking to me anymore and I won't talk to you. Fair enough?

you two clowns apparently think that your stellar 2-3 road record is enough to merit coming here and blabbing on nonstop about how the Squealers are going to roll over the Patriots.

You morons obviously have a REAL problem with short term memory. Your squad just LOST to one of the WORST teams in the league...in fact, the ONLY victory the Jets have , besides the winless Fish, is YOUR WORLDKILLERS!!!

Shoot your mouth off all you want, you're welcome here...you'll be gone by Sunday night like all the other breast beating big shot fans of the other squads we've played.

I have a quick question for you. Where did I say the Steelers wouild roll over the Pat's??? You would do well to read it again to discover that I actually said the Pat's would win but not in a blow out. Perhaps you should try to improve your reading comprehension, EH???

Talk about Morons.....

The Steeler defense has feasted on inferior competition and bad weather all season. The secondary is not an elite unit, and while the LBers play well as a group, much of their pressure is scheme based, something the Pats' O-line is well equipped to handle. Polamalu has always been marginal in coverage with sketchy tackling skills, and now appears banged up. The Steelers will stuff the run game but the Pats will move the ball very effectively, even explosively, through the air.

The danger is the Pats D. I maintain that Rothlisberger is one of the top 3 QBs in the NFL. He is tough, charismatic and a winner by nature. But Willie Parker has been overused, run into the ground, and his legs lack the spring they possessed over the past 2 seasons. Even the suddenly sluggish Pats' Lbing corps should be able to control the Pitt run game vs an overrated Steeler O-line, with another week to adjust to Colvin's absence, and a better effort from a D-line embarrassed by the MNF debacle. Parker may break one or two 20+ yard run, but by and large the Steelers will not be able to rely on their ground game to move the ball.

Santonio Holmes is the key player in the Steeler O. If he is healthy the O becomes explosive. If he is not 100% the offense labors.

I see the Pats putting forth a much better defensive effort than last week, and the Steelers being not being quite ready for elite competition due to a weak schedule up to this point. They will be more ready next time around, should that challenge come in the AFCCG. I expect the Pats O to get back on track vs an inferior secondary and dominate the Steeler D through the air. Final score 38-20.

Rothlesburger one of the top 3 QB's in the NFL? Not even close........Brady, Manning, Romo round out the top 3 for starters....and I would put several more ahead of Big Head Ben as well.......just my opinion......

Now on to the rest of your post.....We will NOT be blowing out anyone if as you say the Pats defensive tighten up the defense and most especially the RUN defense which has been abysmal as of recent. Yesterday, McGahee made a laughing stock out of our defense....Willie Parker will do more of the same.....or worse.....Our secondary has also been very sketchy in many of the games. Hobbs has been getting burned alot and needs to not be in a 1-1 situation very often as teams will throw at him all day......Overall our secondary needs alot of work if we are to win on Sunday.......

Now onto our offense......Running game.....we need to get some kind of running game going this week...(I know alot of guys on here contend that we can just PASS our way to wins this year) Eventually, that recipe goes sour and teams will capitalize on the fact that we can not effectively run against them.....You have seen alot of that already with Philly and Balt as they were able to shut down our WR's better....because either we have NO running back in the backfield (Haven't quite figured this one out...) or have Maroney back there.....and he just isn't getting it done overall this year......(He was effective on the little screen passes.....and I think we will be seeing alot more of those this week...) Once LoMo gets in open field he can be deadly....but that stutter stepping at the hole is still killing him alot of times before he can get going......

Matt Light....Nick Kazcur .....have been getting beat BADLY the past few games......actually Light has been getting beat alot all season......They need to tighten up or Brady will get killed.......

McDaniels needs tp get more creative on offense playcalling.....Welker was invisible for the most part last night (didn't see where he was injured....just didn't seem to get alot of touches.......Somehow these defenses are getting all of our WR's double covered (Cover 2?).......Hopefully McD and BB come up with a better gameplan and give our offense a boost..........

Special teams........alot of wind yesterday.......But Gost needs to be able to kick it to the endzone this week......and don't get me started on Hanson....one more 14 yarder and he should be history......We should have done better in FA (Kept sauerkraut or Josh Miller)..........

Anyways.....look for another close, cardiac arresting game this weekend.....I don't see a blowout here at all.....GO PATS

Whoah there, Nelly!

I think the pats will win, but they have done NOTHING in the past two weeks that suggest that they should blow out the Steelers on paper, and that seems to be where you are stating your case if I am clear here.

The Pats did not sqeak out wins because the last two teams they played were more battle tested against better teams than the Steeles are . They were close games because the Ravens and the Eagles came out and played more physical than we did. We are the proverbial bullies who just got punched in the mouth. Philly exposed our weaknesses and Baltimore capitalized on them.

Consider that the Steelers typically play more physical football than either of those teams. They watched these past two games, and they are chomping at the bit right now.

I say we win this game, perhaps even by two touchdowns. Maybe we do win by blowout. But if we do, its going to be because this team reached down and found the balls to match the other teams intensity, not because of any statistic or anything we might find on paper.

GOOD post.....

In a earth shattering development, scientists have finally discovered that most elusive of all cryptozoological creatures..the OBJECTIVE STEELER FAN...ironically, this ground breaking discovery occured at a PATRIOTS fan message board, stunning the scientific community and leading to cries for better oversight in the future. Some scientists view this discovery as a one in a trillion occurence given the almost intergalactic rarity of the species.

More news at 7:15 Sunday night....

Don't feel bad, he couldn't respond intelligently to me either. He thinks he's smart, LOL. Children are so cute.

Actually, you should stay away from ANYTHING that requires intelligence. It's just not your forte....

I absolutely think that this game will be close. If the Patriots blow out the Steelers, I will jump on right away and admit that I was wrong. I have no problem with that .

Personally, I rank Big Ben as one of the top QBs in the league - AHEAD of Romo. Romo is playing great ball, but I like to look at a larger sample of data before claiming Romo is the next elite QB. By this time next year, I'll tell you that Romo is better if he continues on his path. Big Ben, on the other hand, has been a winner, and us Patriot fans can relate to winning games but not always coming up with gaudy stats.

Furthermore, our "toughest" opponents record-wise this year, the Colts and Cowboys, were actually pretty close games (seeing where the Cowboys were late in the 3rd quarter) and that was when we were lighting up the scoreboard. A few weeks later, we seem to have a few problems to correct, so I wouldn't automatically assume we are going to destroy the Steelers until we get out of this funk. Hopefully that does happen this week...

This is one game that I fully expect us to come out in the shotgun and spread out the Steelers. On the defensive side of the ball, if we can stop the run without committing Rodney or Sanders in to the box, then I like our chances of stopping Ben.

Objective!!!

Thanx for playing, troll

I REALLY like the Patriots in this game.
Really thought the Ravens game was our biggest hurdle and was proven right last night. The Patriots will be ready to play come Sunday and I don't think the Steelers game will be that close.

little wind and 37 degrees forecast...light week of workouts...and the sting of coming out flat for 3 quarters at the Ravens...I smell a bloodbath

I've looked at this as "the loss" for a while; and told someone at work today I expect them to lose. For some reason this extra day off, though, has re-energized my confidence. I'm thinking it will undo some of the short week effect and they'll come out not as weary. Also, while the vets won't get full games off, they'll realize that once the #1 seed is clinched that Belichick can press on the gas only as hard as he needs to and with Miami and The Jest upcoming, this game really ends the "pedal to the metal" part of the regular season. After this week it will be "coast with eyes to the playoffs", staying sharp but not pushing it - one last week against a top opponent then it's time to fine tune.
