...but have never heard of Dorsett and shocked that BB would move him to division rival...
Wow....I guess I'm not surprised that they are moving Brissett....but have never heard of Dorsett and shocked that BB would move him to division rival......Jimmy G is the future baby....hope he will b ready....pretty shaky in preseason but I'm sure he will be ok once Brady retires
Not a fan of this trade.
I'll take a flyer and predict that by the end of this season
- Brissett will have Luck's job
The Dolts have shown that they are institutionally incapable of keeping Luck intact. If he does, it will be because Luck died.
I may be making the wrong argument. I'll just leave it with something more practical and measurable: When the heat is on and TB needs to get the ball out quickly, I'm betting that he's going to Cooks, Dola, and Gronk before looking Hogan's way. And that, to me, is the biggest thing that needs replacing with Edelman out.
lolNo doubt. The Colts are challenging the Patriots for the East this season, .
Historically, round 1 has been where they've addressed area of need.
BEST PLAYER/ATHLETE AVAILABLE is what he does in round 2, not round 1, and it's been very hit or miss.
I dont think any of us were concerned with who would replace edelmans yards, touchdowns, etc. I originally argued against the notion in Lombardi's tweet that now that we have Dorsett, we can just kick Hogan inside and redefine his roll in the offense.Well...how else do you measure production? I am sure he will pick up some emotional slack as well. I read Hogan is settling in nicely and becoming a good leader and influence.
Biggest myth in the history of the draft is BPA. Teams draft for need almost every round, every draft.
No such thing as "absolutes" when it comes to the draft, nor should there be.
If you're not flexible you don't last long in this league.
Yep. That was pointed out, not sure why I wasn't thinking about the rbsYou're forgetting White, Burkhead and Lewis.
You've never heard of a guy puckedcin the first round? I'm surprised.Wow....I guess I'm not surprised that they are moving Brissett....but have never heard of Dorsett and shocked that BB would move him to division rival......Jimmy G is the future baby....hope he will b ready....pretty shaky in preseason but I'm sure he will be ok once Brady retires
I don't think you have a good understanding of hogans skill set.I dont think any of us were concerned with who would replace edelmans yards, touchdowns, etc. I originally argued against the notion in Lombardi's tweet that now that we have Dorsett, we can just kick Hogan inside and redefine his roll in the offense.
I guess what I am concerned with is this: when things are going smoothly and the O Line is holding up, TB and the offense will be unstoppable with or without JE. I doubt he'll honestly even be missed. I'm more thinking about who will do what JE did in the tough times, when the pass rush is getting home and TB has to get get rid of the ball quickly? Like Deus said, everyone will chip in, but I think Hogan is pretty far down the list of guys on the team who accel at short, get-open-quick routes (yes I know this is not all that edelman does, but it is the thing he does that no one else on the team can replicate). So, I disagree with the idea that his time on the outside will be reduced or that the routes he runs will change now. If they do, I'll be back for my crow.

If you listen to Lombardi he seems to say the opposite and also says that BB is one fof the best at that. Dont let need drive your draft.
