Maybe we can undo it and cut McCourty and Harmon?
Yes. There was smoke about Jimmy leaning towards staying and waiting. It's a good gig and it won't hurt his career. Too many backups have left and failed.
Phillip Dorsett scouting profile
5'10 185lb. 9 3/8" hands
"Dorsett is fast and he's tough. He can just accelerate off the line of scrimmage. He catches the ball easily. When he gets vertical, forget about it. He has rare ability." -- Mike Mayock
Second-team All-ACC wide receiver in 2014. Ten of his 36 catches were for touchdowns and he averaged 24.2 yards per catch. Took part in 2015 Senior Bowl practices, but did not play in the game due to injury. In 2013, played in eight games and missed five games due to a partially torn MCL. Caught 13 passes for 272 yards and 2 touchdowns. In 2012, led Miami in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns. Had four games of 100-plus yards. Won a 5A Florida State Championship while at St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
PRO DAY RESULTS
40-yard dash: 4.29 and 4.27 seconds
Vertical jump: 38 inches
Broad jump: 10 feet, 9 inches
Short shuttle: 4.03 seconds
3-cone: 6.85 seconds
Takes the top off the defense and throws it in the trash. Elite explosiveness. Gets to top speed quickly and is a seamless glider on crossing routes, leaving man-to-man defenses in his wake. Can work outside and from the slot. Elevates and attacks contested catches. Outstanding body control and can adjust to the ball in mid-air. Mind-boggling big-play production with half of his catches going for 25-plus yards in 2014. More than just a vertical-only receiver and has the blazing feet and stop-start to beat zone coverage for big plays.
Had partial tear of MCL in 2013. Still raw in his routes, relying on pure speed. Inconsistent with his hand placement to catch and lets the ball get on top of him. Small frame and will have to withstand hits over the middle as a slot receiver.

"I will guarantee he goes in the top 40 this year. In fact, I will be surprised if he doesn't go in the first. Elite speed and separation player." - NFC executive
Dorsett is an ascending prospect who has averaged more than 25 yards per catch since 2012. He can challenge teams vertically inside or outside and he has home-run potential after the catch as a slot receiver. With smaller wide receivers like T.Y. Hilton and Antonio Brown proving that small and fast can win in the NFL, Dorsett should be coveted by more than one team and has the potential to turn into a star in the NFL.
The **** are you talking about
My stance was that DT was a need when Brown was picked and S wasn't. So people are idiots if you sit here 2 years later saying "Bill was stupid for picking Brown over Collins".. That stance has nothing to do with the clear fact Belichick had Brown ranked higher than Collins because HE PICKED BROWN..
Your take is nothing but hindsight, if Bill took Collins and the Giants took Brown and Collins was a solid player and Brown had a great All-Pro season you'd be sitting here saying how Bill should have taken Brown.
Colts now have a Superbowl winning qb.
Good for them.
But but but but but but brady can't throw the deep ball!
Can't wait for tomorrow and Monday to hear from the local contrarians on how every move the Pats made today we're wrong
Philip Dorsett is a small price to pay to give the Colts players a chance to see what a SB ring looks like up close.
He absolutely does not do that. He identifies players he likes, if he has a role they might play and they are draftable in the right spot [except for the rare players] he pulls the trigger. He has also professed a preference in drafting very large athletic players because there are only so many of them.
Why would you spend draft capital and money on a player who has to beat out 2 established players he likes already at a position?
Actually could kind of make the argument they have 3. Not saying Hogan is an elite one but he showed last year he is sneaky solid deep threat.
Or, when your team sucks so bad, everybody can start.
What's the name of that new D?? real Deep.
Or the BB GTFB Defense aka "GET THE F*#K BACK!!!"
I could see him dressed as the punt returner. He won't see any offensive snaps, just like Cyrus Jones wasn't going to see any defensive snaps. BB has said PR is a specialist position, much like long snapper. It's not like Cardona is lining up on offense.
Curran also said this...Hmmmm
Ron Brace may have been drafted for need, and it didn't work out.
This is the thank you Bill Fatcells Trade. Imagine if we had drafted the accurate Dak Prescott instead things that make you go Hmmmm....shaking my head.
The best deep threat group, sure.
But Cooks and Dorsett are obviously far from being Julio Jones and AJ Green.
I stand corrected. Still doesn't mean he his/ will be a bust. He's playing with Brady & being coached by an organization that isn't a dumpster fire. We shall see.
