Exactly. As secretive as the Pats are about everything right down to minutiae, this would certainly be out of character. A spy plane above the clouds is another matter.

Everybody knows that Belichick insists on the cyanide capsule in the false tooth for operatives in enemy territory.

Now if this guy was found dead and foaming at the mouth, then I'd buy it... but the mere fact that this guy was alive to talk disproves the words that were coming out of his mouth.

There was a thing about this sort stuff awhile back.

Teams know other teams try to do this .... its part of the game ...
...even though unethical, IMO. Mangini knows this happens and
am sure he has people looking out for it as does Belichick.
You police your own bench.

But one thing the article doesn't mention is just how long the
guy was there and just how much information he really got.
If the lookout man was sharp the offender didn't get a chance to get much.

Yeah, this is my problem with the story. If it's such a big deal, why not go on the record.

I just heard the writer interviewed on WFAN and he didn't add much detail other than the fact that the head of Jets Security caught the guy with a video camera.

Sounds like the league is going to set the Pats up for another round of suspensions. 4-games for Rodney didn't work out like they planned on Sunday so they resort to plan B. Hopefully the team can prevail even after BB's 4-game suspension which will result from this "crime".

I'm sorry, that's just stupid. The league isn't out to "set the Pats up", and Rodney's suspension had nothing to do with such a master plan: they simply suspended him like they do everyone who gets caught using performance enhancing drugs.
