one year deals are good it gives them flexibility, if they like them they sign them again, if not there wiil be more free agents next year looking to play for a winner

While admitting that all players whose contracts expire and are not resigned are basically castoffs, that doesn't necessarily mean they don't have value and won't improve your team. After all, you could say that if Vrabel was that good, the Steelers would have resigned him. There are a LOT of players who weren't resigned by former teams who are very good, and many more who are terrific role players. I think someone mentioned Roman Phifer, and there have been quite a few other signings that caused many people to yawn that turned out to be solid players.

Maybe it's just me but given that emotion, were I Vince I'd be just a bit nervous as I bent over into my 3 point stance and assumed the position.

Those people do not include He-who-shall-not-be-named who went to the SeaHags, Randall Gay and Asante Samuel. I'm not saying that our coaching staff's expertise and surrounding players' cache is not a factor but it obviously counts for little to many compared to big $.

Nice clip. Yeah what is there more to say about this move but it's a very low risk, high reward investment. Hobson could really solidify the middle of the Pats defense. And that's been one of their few weak areas imo. Hobson has a chance to step right in and make this team even better. That's a scary thought.
