IIRC, there was some interest in Schwenke from the Pats (and/or Pats fans) during the 2013 pre-draft.

These things usually mean nothing but giving a guy a shot - however with Wynn and Thuney at Guard in addition to the impending FA of Shaq Mason, I can't help but wonder if adding depth could be as a backup to Wynn and Thuney starting with Mason being traded.

(I know Wynn has played mostly Tackle with us so far but he'd be able to move right in as a Guard).

I'm guessing that Nate Theaker and Paul Turner didn't work out well as camp bodies.

No-one's assuming it, just guesses based on history of trading guys at this point who we can't sign and having depth at Guard. I don't THINK he'll be traded but both he and Malcolm Brown are on my radar for surprise trades.

I hope when the dust clears minus Edelman for Four weeks we can somehow find a volume catcher at the WR Position. Edelman means a lot to this Team and we lost DA in FA.
