Butler, Edelman, McCourty, HT, Cannon and Bennett.
Blount is good, not great. He has had a nice year but he is not irreplaceable. Granted dudes like a washed up Steven Jackson can't replace him but he isn't all that special. If we want to wear a defense down in the second half of the game, sure give Blount a healthy amount of carries. But if we want to game plan to carve up a good defense on the ground, use Dion Lewis.
Moses Cabrera, Jim Hardy and Dante Scarnecchia,
Ok, I'll shut up now.
On this note, what are the chances Brady wins Comeback Player of the Year? Any road blocks to that with the 4 game suspension? I know we don't give a #### (for the most part) about MVP, much less CPOTY, but just a curiosity.
I thought CPOTY could also include players coming back from injury. Does it count if you "come back" from a suspension and light the league on fire?how can you win a CPOTY when he was great every year? CPOTY are for those who kinda sucked
I just don't think Blount is the most valuable to the team. I think that Butler changes everything on defense. Things would likely crumble without him on the field.I don't disagree with that.
But we're not talking about who's the best, but most valuable (besides TB12). And this year Blount having a career year, and after Brady, he's been the most valuable to me.
If we're talking unit, OL for sure.
I'm with you there. We've seen how bad a defense can be without a good #1 CB. Butler has been the MVP after Brady, IYAM. Followed closely by McCourtyI just don't think Blount is the most valuable to the team. I think that Butler changes everything on defense. Things would likely crumble without him on the field.
Our offense would also sputter w/o Edelman too. Blount has been helpful, especially earlier in the year...just think there are more valuable players who have had a greater impact.
To Blount's credit he is great down on the goal line and always reliable to punch it in.
