Pats players you’ve given up on vs players you still have hope for

With offensive linemen, I always worry about the first major foot or knee injuries. With how much stress blocking generates, it always seems to be that once you have to get any of those areas repaired/rehabbed, the potential for 'tweaks' and other aggravations of that injured area grow. Never mind the increased chance of injuring the other side as they favor the injured side and put more force and 'unbalanced' force onto the uninjured side. Add to it their weight, and.... those first injuries can turn towards becoming injury prone.

I may have to rethink my giving up on Boutte and Thornton if they continue this trend. I could swap them out for Zappe and Roberts.
Agreed. Until TT shows it consistently I won't put too much stock in him. Juju is gone, I really like the young guys. Kb, KJ, Polk, and baker, pop, tt.. we may suprise some people this season.

Players I HAVE Given up on:

Juju the younger guys have just outplayed him.
Strange he has lost his Starting job already.
Rayland or Wide Left don't trust him. Keep the other Kicker

Wheatley BB literally gave away a young RB for this bum!

Players I have NOT Given up on:

Tyquan = He's having a Great camp and he's healthy.

Boutte = May be much better than regarded.

Calvin Anderson = should be better than what he's shown.

Mafi = Year two he could show promise.

I really don't like to judge the receivers till they have pads on. Especially speed guys like Thornton can thrive when there is no contact but once the pads come on and corners can jam him at the line or really get physical when the ball is in the air.

Ryland has been the better kicker in camp, and has a strong leg.

I WANT him to turn it around and succeed.

I don’t know if you were one if the people badmouthing the pick at the time, but I wonder how many people who it is more important for them that they be seen as “right”, even if it sacrifices a better player for the team.

Yeah we thought he ironed it out late last season but he missed a kick in that Buffalo game yeah I don't trust him he seems like choker.

PF2. I truly hope we don't have to rely on Ryland this year. Hopefully the offense will finally do something ans take pressure of the D becuase they aren't at full strength.

Rookies at all positions have their ups and downs, it is very obvious and frustrating when kickers struggle which makes if more frustrating to watch. Even though it was tough to watch, last year was a good year to let a new kicker learn about playing in the NFL. Gostkowski and even Vinatieri took time to emerge as great players. Ryland seems to have the right attitude and has made good progress since the start of his rookie year. Having a reliable kicker with a big leg for the next decade is a great advantage to have late in close games.

I still stan for Cyrus the Virus Jones

We see this entirely too often here, people want to be "right" or even want the last GM's pick to suck, even if it's detrimental to the team now.

Silly...
