That pick was always odd to me. Bill liked the kid enough to move top to get him early day 2 but at that point we had a pretty loaded DB group. We had Chung, D McCourty, Terrence Brooks, and Harmon at the safety spot with Ebner as the special teamer. Gilmore, Jason McCourty, Jon Jones, and JC Jackson was starting to emerge at corner. Only thing I can think is Bill thought that Williams could eventually take over for Gilmore but if that was the case Bill's fastball was even worse than I think most could imagine.
