The Lee and Allen eras over before it started.

Wonder if this means they’re happy with their pass catchers?

How much (if any) money does this add to the cap?

Probably not a lot?

I wonder how many 2020 opt outs around the league have been released by their teams...

Lee's career was hampered by injuries and inconsistent QB play. He could have had a very nice showing if he'd been healthy and had a better passer. Talented player who never matched his promise.

Wow what a swing and a miss Allen was. Disappointed ive liked Lee since his usc days wanted to see what he could do healthy

I feel some teams will not look at them favorably regardless of their reasons for opting out.

can someone sign me to a 5M/2y contract? I swear I can stay on IR you don't need to worry just give me the money

Not that I was expecting Lee to be a huge contributor, but this definitely signals we're looking to add another WR, be it a vet or through the draft (or both). Right now after Agholor, Meyers, and Bourne, we have the following competing for probably two more spots:

Edelman (health concerns)
Harry (talent/fit concerns and rumors have him actively being shopped anyway)
Gunner (okay depth but primarily a ST guy)
Zuber
Wilkerson

If everything goes perfectly with those players, we're set. But we all know that's not going to be the case. Personally, I would resign Byrd and draft a kid for competition and depth. Otherwise, if the plan is to use significant draft assets to trade for (or up for) a QB, then bring in two more low risk vets to make sure you get four guys who can catch the ball.
