So he's a taller CB, how fast and agile is he?

Here's what Harbaugh said about his release:

Harbaugh said Melvin, who started the final two games of the 2014 regular season and two playoff games before a hamstring injury and a benching in Week 3 dropped him out of favor, simply wasn’t ready fast enough for the team’s liking.

“I really like Rashaan,” Harbaugh said. “I think he’s a good person and a hard-working guy and talented guy who’s got a great future. It just wasn’t happening quick enough. You’ve got to get out there and you’ve got to play. He will. He’s a hard worker.”

4.42 40 with a low of 4.32. If you want measurables...He's a small school project, but why not? tall and fast.

When you personally roast a guy and still target him, it must mean you find some part of his skill set intriguing. Whatever it is, I guess we'll find out.

Darrel revis ain't walking through that door [and fark him if he did]. Nobodies trading top cornerbacks, so I like a big coachable kid with speed. we tried the flawed veteran.

Let's see what BB and Patricia can do.

Given time to operate, BB can pick off a player here and there by intense scouting and knowing immediately who he wants once available.

That's team building based on hard work, intelligence and patience and I'll take that over throwing multimillions after mistakes like Suh.

If he doesn't work out, there are more in the pipeline I'm sure.

Based on his 3 cone he sure isn't a slot DB. Outside CB is my guess.

It's not like we don't roast lots of veteran starters too.

For the nerds

Fairly tall. Hard to turn on a dime when you're that long. But reasonably fast. And 38" vertical. Seems like it might be a decent combo for outside.

Hope he is over his injury.

Obviously a poor level of competition, but he seems like he covers well and he is 6'2". If we can get a situational player [big cb]out of this with some intense coaching, that's a nice puzzle piece.

Who hasn't gronk toasted?
