Player Signing Pats are bringing back James White

I think the team got their money's worth on Bolden last season. He averaged 5.1 per rushing attempt (which exceeds White's career Y/A of 4.0) and he had a catch percentage of 72.5% (which is comparable with White's career percentage of 74.6%). His Y/R at 9.9 was also higher than White's career Y/R of 8.6. All this with Bolden's snap count and percentage going way above his career averages. In other words, yes White is preferable, but Bolden wasn't bad either.

They just can not move on from this guy.

Rham can handle the duties and should be the lead back.
The current strength of the offense is the running backs (and most specifically running the ball) and I don't think that's changing next season so excellent depth at the position is only an asset. I also like Stevenson but more as an alternating feature back with Harris... they can keep each other fresh and their production is similar. I like White coming back healthy as the primary 3rd down back with J.J. Taylor getting into the mix.

Love it.

His loss was severly underated last season and the assumption people had that he would be good as gone was always odd to me.

Hopefully his medicals are pristine!

Hip injuries are not easy to come back from.

I need to see how he looks after that injury before I care.

Hope the hip is good but even if it's not his presence alone is welcomed in the locker room

Ive been preaching the same Bolden accolades for years.

He is just one of those insignificant cogs in the Pats wheel that makes plays that add up big. I reckon you could say that "He does his job." I like him better with # 38 though.

Bolden really impressed me last year; while there was a drop off from White to him, it wasn‘t anywhere as bad as I had feared. I’d love to have Bolden back cheap as White’s backup and core STer.

I agree, but the unfortunate thing is that if the hip ISN'T good, he's not likely to be on the team after camp.
