Corrente, Steratore likely to head Conference Championship crews

per footballzebras.com

Thanks, Joker. It must be a different protocol for the postseason or possibly even just the conference championships, as I know that it's normally Wed or Thurs in the regular season.

I could've sworn that we weren't aware of our last ref in yesterday's game more than 4-5 days at most, but I may be thinking of the week #17 game instead.

First time we've been underdogs in the postseason in a long time. I love it!

According to Colin Cowherd, the Pats have been 5 + underdogs 3 times in the post season and they have won all 3 games. All road games too.

1 2001 AFCC vs 15 - 1 Pitt
2 2001 Super Bowl vs Rams
3 2006 Div Round vs Martys "Lights out" Chargers

Game day forecast is for mid 50's and clear skies.

The Global Warming folks should make Peyton their spokesperson!

I don't doubt your statements for one second, but I think you may be in for a surprise if you're expecting it to drop significantly enough to where the Patriots will be even or favored at the end of the week, which is what you said.

The only way that N.England will be even or favored on the road at Mile High against Manning and his offense come gametime, is if Manning and his offense all slip in the shower and fall like dominoes.

Again, if the betting public bet heavily on the Pats' Vegas has to change the lines. Vegas will move the line to minimize the risk. Again, this is only if the fast move in the line has to do with betting because that fast move of a line indicates Vegas misjudged the betting public.

The line adjustment probably has more to do with the loss of Chris Harris. If that is the case, what I am saying is irrelevant.

I wouldn't be the line would move to a pick em or the Pats being favored. It is unlikely to happen because lines don't usually move like that. I just said I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

NY, NJ and FLA are full of jealous Jets fans are skewing the data.

I know you think this is funny but the truth is there are hordes of pathologically hate driven Jet fans that log on all over the country as fans of other teams and log on HERE under the same guises to promote their unbelievable hatred of us, our team, our owner and our coaches and players. This is not some myth.

Bookmakers in the UK work slightly differently!

Here is our lines taken from Betfair

(Note the first number is what the bookmaker will give you not including your stake back, the second number is your stake!)

Winning the match Outright (including overtime)

Denver 4/9
Pats 9/5

(NFC has Seattle big favourites at 1/2 with 49ers at 8/5)

Super Bowl Winner

Seattle 7/4
Denver 15/8
S Fran 7/2
Pats 5/1

So pats are quite big outsiders!

We won't be able to run all over the DOnkeys next week. This is virtually ALL on Brady.

The Denver run defense is way overrated. What are they ranked? Something like 4th overall, but does that takle into account the real picture.

In most games, Manning lit it up so how many teams were actually sticking with a run game while trying to erase 2 and 3 TD deficits?

That's an easy bet with the points. Doubt it stays that high at gametime.

Not sure it is as easy as you think. Denver is a tough place to play because of the altitude. A lot of the big guys will be pretty winded by the 4th quarter, and we're pretty thin at DT.

I like a Pats/SF 6 point teaser this weekend.

Ne plus 12.5
SF plus 9.5

I know.

They are same folks in the black helicopters.

That seems too easy. With Chris Harris being Doubtful for the game the line has gone down to around 4.5. I wonder where it will settle at game time.

Oh good, another thread about vegas odds - which have nothing to do with football evaluation and everything to do with managing bets - full of posts about disrespect.

Tom Brady embracing underdog role vs Broncos

Brady embracing underdog role vs. Broncos | Comcast SportsNet - CSNNE.com

I love being the underdog. I think we match up better against the Broncos than the Chargers. I am happy we are playing the Broncos. Now that Harris is out, Brady will be picking on Jammer or Carter. Our running game and our defense is key to winning this game.

I love what Brady had to say in this article and his confidence...
“We’ve had our backs against the wall for a while, really the whole season,” Brady continued. “We’ve lost players and teams have really counted us out. We’ve got a bunch of underdogs on our team and we’ll be underdogs again. We’ll see how that shakes out at the end of the week. But we’re as tough and physical as we’ve ever been and we’re gonna go out and play this game and that’s a great challenge for us to . . . go in there and try to beat ‘em.”

GO PATRIOTS!!

Re: Tom Brady embracing underdog role vs Broncos

This is a nice gesture from Brady but everyone knows this is a post season game and manning is playing in it.

Re: Tom Brady embracing underdog role vs Broncos

The best motivators are guys that can convince their teammates that "nobody thinks we can do this." Brady is a smart dude to embrace this. It's a great way to give you and your teammates that mental edge and extra focus.
