It's almost...

...magical.

Cool stat, mentioned by tv announcers in Jets game.

Yeah its a Felger stat. Its true but it doesn't mean ****. When both Dion and Gronk were healthy last year this offense was on fire.

yes, but people like to post things as if they were breaking the news.

Didn't think this would catch on with the Beat writers lol

Definitely a cool stat.....I know that shouldn't imply that the Pats wins in that span are BECAUSE of him.

There is something special about when Dion is on the field though and that's that he is effective as both a runner and receiver.

When Blount is out there, you worry about him running.

When White is out there you worry about him receiving.

So depending which one is out there it gives the defense something specific to focus on.

When Dion is in the backfield the defense doesn't really know what to expect.

"Clowney blows past Solder to the backfield to... Get juked out of his career by Dion Lewis! I can't believe it! Clowney launches himself and Dion went right under him!"

I feel like Lewis is going to tear it up in the playoffs. Just a hunch but it looked like they really dialed back on his use during the regular season maybe to turn it up in the postseason

I'd like to believe it, but doesn't seem like a BB philosophy on playing football.

Save plays, sure. Save a player for the postseason, can buy that a little. Not give 100% or make mistakes, you get the bench or door respectively.

Agreed. I just saw way fewer attempts by Lewis to do make those zig zag, stop on a dime, top speed in 2 steps kinds of moves like I saw last year. I hope we see it again during this push
