I would Trade a Second for him. Then again would he want to come to another pitiful QB situation?? Oh nevermind.

Maybe the Steelers are so good at picking WRs because they always take guys who should have gone much earlier, but teams stayed away.

I can name 6 Steelers WRs who blew up like this in the last several years. They have 2 such guys on the team right now because Diontae Johnson is a headcase too.

Some of these guys end up turning things around as they mature.

Well Bill knows he's done at the end of year so he likely could have cared less. We have to many ALL pros on the offense anyway. LOL

Thornton magically looked good with a new QB Thursday night, he converted some third downs.

Get that guy more quality targets and reps, keep him healthy and running vertical routes... not screens.

Pickens looked like crap, like any WR would with no QB to throw him the ball.

I remain unsold on Thornton, but your larger point is spot on. Without a competent QB, the only WR/TE who has a chance at showing what he’s capable of is a security blanket for that QB.

You know when you find out if a QB is going to hit or bust? About three years after you draft him, typically.
