Here's another one, related to the last one:

What is the patriots record for most consecutive winning seasons and
who were the main coaching forces behind them?
(Hint - it's been done 3 times, each time by one of the 5 greatest pats coaches)

by the way huskeralk, your avatar cracks me up almost every time I see it.
that was such a hysterical movie!

"I feel like I'm taking crazy pills - hasn't anyone else noticed that all of his looks are the same look. I invented the piano key necktie, that was was me!
what has derek zoolander ever done? nothing! NOTHING ! "

If you watched the whole movie, that point in the movie is really terrific acting by Will Ferrell - I thought he was just great.

by the way - what does huskeralk mean?

Yep, easily one of my favorite movies ever.

Hansel: So I'm repelling down Mount Vesuvius when suddenly I slip, and I start to fall. Just falling, ahh ahh, I'll never forget the terror. When suddenly I realize "Holy ****, Hansel, haven't you been smoking Peyote for six straight days, and couldn't some of this maybe be in your head?"

Derek Zoolander: And?

Hansel: And it was. I was totally fine. I've never even been to Mount Vesuvius.

"Rufus, Brint, and Meekus were like brothers to me. And when I say brother, I don't mean, like, an actual brother, but I mean it like the way black people use it. Which is more meaningful I think."

As far as my name, the husker part is from the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Alk is just kind of my nickname in real life. I tried to get Ian to drop the husker part for me a long time ago but never did.

COOL STORY HANSEL ! - (thanks olaf)

so why did you have a Nebraska cornhusker reference to begin with? are you from the area originally or do you just like them. just fyi, they happen to be my favorite college football team, them and the buckeyes.
I guess I like red uniforms!

anyway - anyone gonna take a stab at the trivia question? it's actually pretty easy, I think.

I was born and raised in Kansas about 13 miles from the Nebraska border so I was automatically a Husker fan. I'll have to do some thinking on the question.

Well you pretty much gave us the answer in the question:

We are currently on a five winnig season streak, so the answer must be five winning seasons. The coaches are three of the following five: Holovak, Fairbanks, Berry, Parcells, and BB. I know Parcells did not have 5 consecutive winning seasons. That means that it's BB and 2 of Fairbanks, Berry and Holovak. I am pretty sure Holovak is one of them. Holovak, BB and Berry?

well - you almost pulled it off - you had good deductive reasoning going until right at the end. you're right - I was trying to help you guys have a good shot at guessing the answer but giving easy clues - but how did you know our current streak equalled our best? I think you just made that assumption which could've been wrong, but isn't...

The part you got wrong was Holovak. He only won 4 in a row. Parcells 3.
It was 5 straight winning seasons by:
Chuck Fairbanks
Raymond Berry
Bill Belichick
and of course, BB will stand alone at 6 after this season! Remember now, I said the coaches were the main influence behind the streak - I'm not claiming these coaches were actually the coach throughout each streak, but the streaks are correct and of course, BB HAS been the coach throught his streak. I wonder how high the streak will get before we have a losing season?
I don't see it happening barring a catastrophy for quite awhile. Just further proof that this is head and shoulders the best it's ever been in patriot land

I guess I knew the current winning streak was equal to the longest intuitively, having been a Pats fan since 1960! But you're right, I did assume that part and it could have been wrong. But really now, is it logical to believe the our beloved team who for so many years were known to most of the league as the "Patsies" could have had three SIX GAME winning streaks?

you know what's nice? they are patsies no more!

and they are slowly but surely rewriting their record books.

does anybody realize that this season, they will return to having an overall winning record (including plyoffs) for the first time since the early 60's with mike holivak? I mean they've had a losing record as a franchise for about 40 years and they will shed that albastross this season. The best they have ever been is 15 games over .500, and it won't be long before they finally eclipse that, after years of not even being close. Currently they are 1 game under .500 overall.

must...break...the Branch...monotony...

New England averaged 4.07 yards per run in 2004. What was the last Patriots' team to do better?

Man, that was too fast. Oh well, time to let this thread sink into the ocean of Branch threads until next week.

I remember it being a big deal when they finally accomplished it. It was always "Haven't averaged 4 yards a carry since Craig James...." Stuck in my head.

In what round of the 1962 draft did the Patriots select future Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker Nick Buoniconti?

Sounds like a trick question. Buoniconti was undrafted.

Not according to the calendar.

I have no factual basis for this, but my gut feeling is 3rd round?
