Lazar says Gilmore situation not ju$t phy$ical. Hasn’t practiced going into the final preseason game and It’s looking like he will not be available for game 1. Hoping he’s just not ready and BB wants to see him play before paying him. Still leaves a big hole out there for the time being. Something to watch tomorrow (at least).

The fact is that he isn't going to get paid more UNTIL he shows he is healthy and ready to go. Reportedly he IS working hard to get there, but no one is reported when that actually may be. When he can show he's healthy and competent, THEN he'll get more money, but the Pats would be crazy to give it to him before that time. It's just common sense.

IMO - they can (and will) cut Hoyer to carry guys on the initial 53 that they intend to place on IR and activate later (such as Harry), then will add him back on the roster once those guys hit IR. There'll be a couple such guys.
