SI's Peter King is reporting that the Rams have received an offer to trade up into the No2 spot from a team "you would never expect".
So as a bit of fun, assume we are that team, we certainly qualify as a "team you wouldn't expect". What would it take to move up to the Rams pick and how would it affect the Patriots?
In terms of pure draft picks, both first rounders, both second rounders and a 2013 1st leaves us around the ball park for the trade up and would be almost impossible for the Rams to pass up as haul.
There would be ways to mitigate that loss of valuable picks:
1. Substitute players. Tag and trade Welker for example might save a second rounder. Hernandez would be a nice catch for the Rams.
2. Trade Tom Brady. What would we get for him? First and a second rounder. Two firsts?
3. Trade one or both of Hoyer and Mallett. Mallett might net a second rounder.
This is purely fun speculation. assume BB has fallen in love with RGIII. how would you go out and get him?
