Reminds me so much of David Graham. Graham was a dominant college TE, and like Allen, won the Mackey Award. But Graham was NEVER a GREAT NFL tight end. But he was productive as a receiver, but GREAT as a blocker. Hopefully Allen follows Graham's path.

As Howe said we just pretty much stole Allen from the Colts for the difference between a 4th round and 6 round pick. An excellent blocking TE who has had up to 8 TD in a season. For about half of what we would have paid Marty.

Anyone who dosent like this great depth signing (if not a solid #2 TE) for value is a complete idiot.

Granted we have a lot of idiots here.

Lengel and Williams are glorified OTA/camp bodies. If you seriously believe that they will skip over one of the most athletically gifted TE classes in a long time you will be shocked in about 50 days.

I am still fully confident that they will go for a late d2/early d3 TE (Brittle ?) and then a very late project.

That is fine. You could be right. I think it is all about health for him. If he stays on the field the next 3 years it is a win.

Well Jack Doyle has a long of 24 yards. Gronk averaged 21.6 YPC last year. Even in injury. So.......hope they enjoy!

New England is a much better place for a TE than most teams. Can't say whether he pans out or not but he'll have a much geater opportunity to be a factor here than he had with gunslinger Andrew Luck and that WR happy offense.
