He was pushed out before he had a chance to toe tap…it’s that simple IMO.
I believe that ruled got changed a few years ago? Coincidence it got changed after the year Brandon Lloyd made his living on the sideline.

Ugh, now Jo. Jones??
What is going on? Did he get hurt in practice today?
Man, I hope some of these guys are just being put on the list as a technicality. (Andrews, Jones, Boutte)

This is shaping up to be a game that we need D & ST to score to win.
J. Jones issue he was dealing with during the pre- season. I believe it's just a management thing. At this rate.. By week 5.. it's pretty much going to be survival of the healthiest!!!

This might be the worst injury situation at o-line since BB took over the team in 2000

I can recall key players like Light, Koppen, Seabass, Woody, etc going on IR but we have multiple starters who are out or at risk of being out.

Crazy
2015

without a muddy field
Artificial turf gets muddy???

I jest, but in truth I would posit a wet artificial surface could reduce non-contact injury risk by lowering the friction coefficient of a dry field that has basically too much traction. This is where the cleat and foot don't separate from the field surface nor have any "slide" or give, transferring all the body weight and momentum from distributed to just the joints (knee, ankle, achilles, ACL, etc).

Just a guess on my part but would seem scientific.

What you said makes sense but I had to go do some research on my own. I now know more about grass vs artificial than I care to know. You’re absolutely correct. One of the main reasons that grass is more slippery than turf is due to the fact the way the water goes through the turf system as opposed to letting it get soaked into the dirt and staying on the surface/making the playing surface less predictable. Thanks man! With that being said, we need JJSS to get his heal game on because we can really use him. I guess keeping him on a limited snap count could be due to thinking long term and having him a full go in November & December.

A lot does have to do with rule changes.

For the good, I understand, but if this game were in 2000, I believe we would be close to all hands on deck.

These appear to be the type of concussion that often was played through. We will see, but they don't appear long term

A broken clock is right twice a day I guess - muchas gracias for actually exceeding my laziness and doing the research!
