He’s been getting open deep in camp too…that’s a QB problem for not getting him the ball…agreed.

It's been more of an O-LINE problem. QB can't hit a guy in stride if his first reaction is to run for his life because, even on a shotgun, he's got guys busting through the line before he has a chance to look.

Thornton has been a disappointment overall as we all know…..has trouble staying healthy and just hasn’t delivered….now gained weight and has been hot and cold…..don’t see him making it at this point…..we shall see….wish him luck!

That article was before camp 2024. All reports in camp this year have been positive for Thornton. He only played one or two series against the Panthers which is a further good sign. And he easily beat the Panther's CB and Brissett could not throw the ball in front of him.

How has Thornton been "hot and cold"? Who knows if he holds up physically, but I read about and see a signifcantly improved player.

The article is dated July 10, 2024. Thornton has been invisible his entire career, which is going to last another 3 weeks.
