Totally agree with your first point. I don't see any significant additions to the existing WR corp, especially if Floyd re-signs. As it is, it will be tough just to keep the guys we already have.

Totally disagree with your second point. BB will simply coach as long as its FUN for him. I don't believe he'll leave when Brady leaves. I don't believe the crap that he'll stay because he wants to prove he can win without Brady either. He coaches because he LOVES it.....period. He'll leave when he decides he wants to spend more time doing something else. WHEN that will be is anyone's guess.

Anyone with over 2,000 books on football is a, "Retire to what?" type of personality.

The factory of sadness are going to get spooked by Chicago's interest and be stupid and offer #1, #12 and #33 for Garoppolo aren't they? :p

The sad thing is (for them, at least) that sounds like the kind of thing a team like Cleveland would do.

Desean Jackson interesting

Interesting if he's willing to play at an insanely reduced salary.. that guy is a walking injury, and is similar to Mike Wallace in that hes more of just a speedster, altho he's more of a playmaker than Wallace

He could return punts and kicks, but he'd probably be the #4 WR if Floyd comes back so he would have to be coming for a ring and not a paycheck... who knows, he's never had a ring and hes getting up there in age

Wont happen. He had a great year last year. He'll get paid and it wont be by NE

...and because he wants to become the winningest coach of all time, beating bitter Don Shula. He's 91 wins away, so if he averages 12 wins a season and 1 playoff victory, that's 7 years. I see him winning game #329 at Super Bowl 58 and sailing off into the sunset with a satisfied grin, on his boat, 10 Rings.
Sailing off into the sunset means sailing 10 Rings from Nantucket to Miami and anchoring it outside Shula's dock with Bon Jovi blaring on his music system.

Take it FWIW.

Mike Freeman's 10-Point Stance: Patriots' Big Trade Bait, NFL's Athletic Freaks

First :

Yet there are some truth-tellers who never lie (at least I don't think they do). What those executives are telling me—three of them, two from the NFC—is they believe some team is going to make the New England Patriots an offer for Jimmy Garoppolo they cannot refuse.

Next :

Every indication I hear from inside the Patriots is that Belichick plans to stay on as coach of the team for at least five more years.

These people also say Belichick wants to coach after Brady retires. They think Belichick wants to prove he can win without the best quarterback of all time.

Finally (the weirdest one) :

One scout believes Jackson will end up in either New England or Dallas, with the Patriots being the more likely choice.
But Brady wants to prove that he can win without the best coach of all time.
