you're just wrong.
Look it up - Diggs was used predominantly as a Slot WR last year in HOU. Because he's getting older, and he played a lot of slot in BUF in '22, and going forward he will too.
He's not going to dominate as a X WR. He was 2nd to Collins.
We still need a primary outside guy.
He played about 45% of his snaps in the slot in houston which is the most of his career, so he has been lined up at X/Z the majority of time.

While your right diggs was asked to play more in the slot In Houston due to Dell and Collins.. however diggs could play outside here but I believe his supreme route running abilities Will allow him to play anywhere really..

the wire > every other show ever

Now you're just stirring up **** to stir up ****. Breaking Bad is arguably the best show to be on TV. I will grant you Saul a continuation of same, but it's not better. Equal? Sure.

Ok, no hyperbole now. I have heard great things about The Wire but have not watched it. But I'll stand with BB.

Sopranos>Wire>>>Breaking Bad and/or Saul

Whats the point in paying this amount of money on a WR when we don't even know if we have the off line to get him the ball. If we spent that 69m on the off line then maybe those we already have get better.

I'm not super high on the Diggs signing, but you can only pay the guys that want to be here (or that you want to be here)....The best LT re-signed with his team, they weren't apparently in on the other guys for various reasons.

Because they are betting that the recovery will be 100% and as he displayed last year he is still a weapon. He is a great Route runner and has a plethora of releases. He has also shown a knack for teaching younger players. IMO, he is the best WR we could have signed and no OT out there are worth the money they are giving Diggs.

He was on track last year for his 7th consecutive 1K yard season. As hard as he is rehabbing, I would not be surprised if he comes back as strong as he was last year.

You have no clue what I value, fool.
Diggs hasn't "been right" for 2 years.

How is Diggs going to magically help Boutte and Douglas reach their potential by taking snaps from them? How does it help Polk or Baker reach their potential. A potential NONE of us know.

No. You don't have to pay to get better. And you certainly don't over-pay for an injured player who is a locker-room issue. Clearly, you've learned nothing in your years of following football.
His numbers the last few years look good to me.

2024: 47 receptions, 496 yds, 3 TD’s ( injured in week 10)
2023:107 receptions, 1,183 yds, 8 TD’s
2022: 108 receptions, 1429 yds, 11 TD’s

In general, the longer it takes for the details to leak, the worse the contract is for the player. Note the words "fully guaranteed" did not appear.

I suspect this is a very incentive-laden deal, and the very best thing that could happen is that we pay him the full amount of this contract.

Anything higher than I think it's around 1.5m on Scoville I avoid. Thats the ghost pepper.
My brother spends half the year out in Arizona, every late spring when he comes back he brings me a jar of Ghost Pepper mustard. It’s hot but it tastes really good, I just have to be careful on how much I use. I bring it down to games and it’s a hit with a few younger guys.

I looked up this site which has a detailed look at where he lined up last year:

202 plays outside, 198 plays slot, 23 plays tight.

I watched some highlight videos and it seemed that Houston's favorite alignment was Collins on the outside with Diggs next him, and either Dell or Woods on the opposite boundary. There were also a lot of formations, typically on early downs, where they aligned all their receivers inside the numbers rather than outside, so I don't know if those are being counted as slot alignments too or not. But Diggs started his plays from outside slightly more than the slot. He was used all over the field. In this offense, I have little doubt he'll be used primarily outside, with Douglas in the slot and Boutte/Hollins on the other boundary. If they stick him inside and make Boutte and Hollins the main outside guys, that spells trouble for Douglas.

Diggs, like every top receiver, gets moved into the slot to create a matchup and make it harder to jam.

Absolutely agree. Randy was moved into the slot at times too create match up problems.

Ghost Pepper mustard sounds delicious.

Last 2 years rec per game 6.12 rec yds per game 67.16 Td/game 0.44
Career 6.0, 79.2, 0.48

Are you ever right about anything?

The purpose of the patriots is to put the best players on the field to win games not to give guys who suck snaps do they have a chance to improve

You just said a guy who is happy we have a wr who has caught 482 passes for 5868 yard and 40 TDs in 4 1/2 years knows nothing because he would rather play a guy who had 82 receiving yards all season and another guy who couldn’t get in the fields on the worst wr corps, by far in the NFL, even worse than Ohio States.

You are becoming comedy gold, and it’s even more enjoyable because your anger and hate is so obvious.

Popcorn level entertainment.
