If some other receiver played well enough to knock Boutte off the roster it would blow my mind. But I’d be happy to have upgraded the WR corp. same for Bourne.

Hard to see at this point where any WR would knock off Boutte. I like the fact that he's had production, actually beats coverage and is a reliable option for Drake.

Same thing went for James White, most of this board thought he was dogshit and wanted him gone after his rookie season. Young players need to be given time and good coaching to develop, most drafted after the first round don’t just walk in and produce right off the bat.

Huck I agree.. I'm a fan that roots for guys that were late round picks or after thoughts.. as a fan I like to see guys develop and become playmakers. Boutte has really impressed..he's got great hands, runs good routes and knows how to leverage himself against CBs. He definitely has a place in the offense and will only continue to get better under Josh. He was a bright spot last season.

Your right twin.. but I'm sure from JM3 standpoint he saw we signed dobbs.. so that most likely puts him 3rd on the depth chart.. I think we could get a 3rd too

Twin.. it's more JM3 wanting to go somewhere rather then us wanting to trade him.. his agent should tell him to wait it out another season under Josh and raise his stock.. but the ship may already have left the dock...

I was listening to either the radio or Curran's pod, don't recall which. They said the "GM saving face" thing is a real thing in some places.

"We could have had this guy last year for a 6th and now you to want to spend a 3rd? Maybe I need a new GM."

My guess is that's why there's no deal now but by the time the 3rd-4th round rolls around, there's likely to be. I still think the deal will be a 4th this year, but maybe a 3rd next year. I'd be ecstatic if they got a 4th and a 6th for Milton and a 7th. But I hear all you guys saying 3rd or F.O., and I hope they get a 3rd. I am not gonna be married to my position to where I want to be right more than I want the team succeed. They get a 3rd, I'll be congratulating them and all y'all.

In Signing Dobbs who has won games as veteran in the NFL Vrabel likely knew what he would get if Drake had to miss any time.. now.. we know JM3 as he showed growth and promise as a player..

Jimmy G was a second, made 4 starts, was made of glass. He was, what, a 4th round pick originally? This guy’s made one start. 3 or 4 seems pretty fair to me.

Jimmy Garoppolo was a 2nd round pick (62 overall). We were hoping if he got moved it would be for a 1st, and allegedly the Browns were willing to facilitate that, but BB opted to trade him out of the conference to the 49ers for a 2nd instead.
