Olajiga has been added to both the roster and PatsPicker:

Not a very good athlete but damn he’s strong.

Big dude, strong....good luck Dave...
Mr. Olajiga is a beast. He is #68 on defense in the clip.

Short version of the clips - he throws 270 - 310? lb guys around easily.

One of the Rams UDFA from Central Missouri ?

DT - 6'3" / 320 lbs

Showed some stuff at his pro day. [www.instagram.com]

Measured 6'3", 319 lbs.

Former UCM All-American DT David Olajiga opened some eyes with his performance @ the Mizzou Football NFL Pro Day when he displayed a rare combination of size & explosiveness

Compared to DL weighing 310+ pounds at the #NFL Combine David’s marks rank;

-vertical jump = #1 (3.5” higher than #2)
-forty yard dash = #1 (.04 faster than #2)
-bench press = #2

…and he’d hit 38 reps during prep phase, if not for the fatigue from the condensed pro day schedule he likely holds the #1 mark there as well for the

He's part of the International Pathway Program, so he won't count against the roster.

More importantly, though, at the end of the preseason, they face an important decision: they can make him a 17th member of the PS at the cost of not being able to sign him to the 53 (they can do one-game elevations, though), or, as they did with Jakob Johnson a few years ago, they can give up that extra spot, but then they can sign him to the 53 if they want/need to.

Jakob Johnson
turned out to be a decent player... he's still in the league iirc, playing in houston...

----

Hope he does well... 6'3", 315 pounds? if he's stout, maybe a sub as a plug in run stuffer?

guess this means last year IPP player Jotham Russell won't be making a surprise return... . was on the (way) smaller side to be considered a DE...

So maybe Wozzy was correct.

Theoretically they only need him for 10-12 plays per game, on early or short downs. Run plugger…. competing against Tonga.

Vrabes knows they are light in the pants on the line. We'll see if he makes the team

The guy is slow as molasses and does not have huge size, I can not say his college production is not eye popping either.
JAG camp body who will not even make PS
Need more than strength to be a run stuffer. Now if he were 6'6 and 340-350 that would be impressive

Two words: CAMP BODY

Two words: CAMP BODY
How good does a player have to be to be the 91st player on the roster when we need big bodies to take reps with the other 3rd and 4th team players?

The patriots continue to support the development of foreign players. Thar's fine. He should get a (free) spot of the Practice Squad. Obviously, if there are a couple of injuries at DT, he could be elevated. There are no negatives to this kind of signing.
