I guess this is the downside of trying to find a replacement kicker at a time when every good kicker is already signed. You end up with a guy like Nick Folk.

Folk played in the AAF, went 12/16 with long kicks of 53, 54 and 55 yards.

His last season in Tampa was only 4 games.

If anybody can explain where to get mid-season replacement kickers who are good I'd love to hear it, geniuses.

I thought it would have been Bryant. That said...I'm supporting Folk until he shows us ... he's all Folked up.

Bryant is a 600 year old dome kicker. Neither he nor Folk are amazing options by any stretch but mid-season kicker replacements basically never are.

And they're sure not on the market in late October.

Folk is probably the best gamble simply because he's not old and broken down. He's had good seasons in the past, and it's at least physically possible for him to do it again.

Nobody thinks of Shayne Graham as a Patriots superstar, but his pickup in 2010 was a huge positive fluke.
