I’m a fan of the move. However, people should know he’s a TE in name only. In 2021 he played 99 snaps inline, 453 snaps in the slot & 252 snaps out wide.

When used correctly he is someone that works the seam & adds receiving ability down the middle of the field. He isn’t going to blocking anyone or running precise routes.

Both of the pats TEs can’t really block so the offense is changing under BOB. Pats need explosive plays & Gesicki can help with that IMO.

This makes me think BOB wants that type of TE and he always wants one available - if Gesicki gets hurt then Henry is there and vice versa.

Seems like we’re taking this back to 2011-12 Gronk obviously always mauled people, but the murderer was not much for blocking. It’s why they’d bring in Matt Mulligan types behind them.
