Not much, but there’s a little more to it than that. He did play center in an actual college game.

Number 69, huh..

If Strange comes back healthy and his former self, he is instantly their best option at center.

This may not happen, it may not happen this season, but if it does... this is not even a question.
"The World According To Wozzy"

Strange would NOT instantly be the best option as center. Why not consider him the best option at CB or NT? He is not a center. It really is that simple. But if we can play these games, then we should project Wallace to start at LT. Surely Wallace-Sow-Strange would be awesome.

And if Strange would really be a better option at center than any of our players including both Andrews and Andrews, then we need to acquire two centers.

Very likely, we will be starting David Andrews at center being backed up by a draftee, with one of the IOL backups being able to play center. Yes, that could be Strange.

It is sad that this guy is better than Hudson. Perhaps, we will have both at center in a few games.
=======
Why do you say he is better than Hudson?

I love how people want Strange to play C. He took at few snaps at C in the senior bowl. That's it. He doesn't have a long history of playing that position.

Strange played an entire game at Center because the Mocs center had gone down. He may not have a "long history" of it, but the reason he was asked to play center at the Senior Bow was because they wanted to see his versatility first hand.

Dude, this vet has 8 snaps at Center in 3 years in the NFL. Maye has as many snaps at QB in the NFL.
Where are you getting 3 years? He was part of the 2023 Draft class.

I'm good with throwing as many guys at the wall as it takes. My problem is this should have taken place months ago.

A center is just a guard who can long snap. Along with Onwenu, Sow and Jacobs.. Cole Strange is one of our few talented lineman. He is strong and supremely athletic… or was before his injury.

David Andrews is out for the season, we’re talking about this season. If Strange comes back healthy he would be our best option at center. Leverett sucks, the other guys they brought in to tryout are jags.

Hey now, a C calls out blocking assignments too!

He needs to start living up to that First Round Selection whether it's @ Tackle or Center. If they can play Onwenu @ RT they can try Cole Strange @ Center or L-Tackle. I don't want to rehash that Draft but we could have gotten better players than what we came away with early on in 2022.
Imagine McDuffie opposite of Gonzalez. Holy crap.

If what you say is true, Sow would be starting at center this week in place of Leverett

The world according to Mayo:

Jerod Mayo said there’s a “100%” chance they’ll try Strange at center. In his first two seasons with the Patriots, Strange made 27 starts, but all of them came at guard.

“I think any of those interior spots, he can play guard, he can play center,” Mayo said. “We have to get the best person out there, and I think he has the ability, the physical tools to be able to do it.”

Why do you say he is better than Hudson?

Neither of them is better than anyone because they have yet to play Center in an NFL game. The team would be better-served moving Jordan there whenever the Sow is fully healthy if they’re not going to add anybody with actual, you know, experience.

This isn’t a serious front office.
