One skill-position player who could be in for a spike in playing time — and targets — is wide receiver DeVante Parker. The veteran has had some of his best performances here with Zappe at the controls, including last year when he had a game-high four receptions for 64 yards in a 38-15 win over Cleveland.

That chemistry — combined with the fact that rookie receivers Demario Douglas and Kayshon Boutte have been ruled out for Sunday — means Parker could be in for a larger role against the Chargers.

Parker, who said Zappe offers “more zip” on his passes, says the key to the chemistry with Zappe is simple.

I agree that the primary focus of the rest of the season is evaluation of players.

Of the players above, what decisions need to be made before camp? If any are free agents, my guess is that we already know whether we want to offer them a contract.

Check / uncheck the two QBs, so it makes sense it’s likely him. He and Mac have never been able to get on the same page.

It wouldn't surprise me if Both Juju and Parker have Great games tomorrow just sling it Zappe. I think people are going to change their tunes on Zappe and we will see BOB's Offense the way we expected.

Kid has to show everybody something, and it would be great if he did and became something to close out the year. We'll see how it goes, and during what's essentially about to be an incredibly tough stretch against some difficult opponents.
