Patriots Pro Bowlers Announced

I've always thought Clay Matthews was so overrated. Hightower deserves it more.

All-Pro is a better honour anyway, plus I'm sure none of us want to see our players actually in the Pro Bowl game for obvious reasons.

I love what Butler has done this year but I think he should just barely miss it this time.

Hightower should be in but his injury probably kept him out. If he played every game this season he would be in for sure.

No problem with the other picks.

Wow. Butler! That's pretty cool. From the bench to SB hero to the Pro Bowl in 12 months!

Looks like you just beat me to a thread. You have to love when guys get he recognition though. It's not really about the game by any means obviously

JMCOO beat us both haha

Very happy for Butler, Collins and Jones.

Hightower was snubbed big time though.
I think he would have gotten a spot had he not missed those games. I don't agree with it, but I understand why. Ware had no business being in there, but keep in mind Lavonte David and Anthony Barr were snubbed as well.

I'd agree, but the truth is, Collins has played one less game than Hightower, so all in all, it's more snub than anything.

butler didnt get in with the votes. players/coaches voted him in!

that being said, i hope none of our players play in this meaningless crap.

People really believe the hype on the Cowboys OL. Has it really been "3 pro bowler" productive this year?

I'm torn on Butler...great story but that just made it almost certain that we won't have him much longer $$$$$

he isn't even a restricted FA until 2017...does everybody on this board just automatically think the worst every single time?

Honestly, I don't think so. I think he feels like NE will always be home. They gave him his only chance, they trusted him in the biggest of moments, and then trusted him enough to give him the opportunity to become the big name player he is becoming. If bill works to resign him sooner then later, I think hell take a home town discount. If he stays on this track, hell be making a lot of income off of endorsements. Think Gronk.

I wonder if those idiots on patriots football weekly will go on about butler "having guys run free" on him. And the old "I just don't know about butler as a number one corner".

I'd agree, but the truth is, Collins has played one less game than Hightower, so all in all, it's more snub than anything.

Collins has 4 forced fumbles, 1 INT, 2 sacks and 2 pass deflections more than Hightower. But man I don't want to compare these two guys they are both insanely good and when both are on the field at the same time magic happens.

Now you really jinxed it. Thanks a lot.
Maybe if I wear all my Pats gear at the same time it will undo it.

Butler finally getting recognized
