I meant onwenu.. my bad...
That was another terrible contract and desperation signing. His presence along the OL for the money he’s making isn’t very significant. His cap hit is $21M next season and $25M in 2026. This is where I see the Pats cutting ties with him as his dead cap hit is a manageable $7.5M.

For Eliot Wolf to spend that amount of money, but not eclipse the wins they had last season is asking to get fired.

As I asked during the offseason, why are you throwing money at players that were a part of a 4-13 team who aren’t regarded as among the best at their positions?

Fair to say that those Pats wins could be attributed more to the players drafted prior to the last 10 years (Brady, Gronk, McCourty, Slater, Edelman, Hightower, Solder, Cannon, Ching, Vollmer). The ones who made an impact to championships in the last decade are Thuney, Mason, and White.. and that goes all the way back to 2015 & 2016, almost a decade.

Patriots have been a very poor drafting team since the 2016 draft.
True enough, but why is KC the only team in the top half of that list with a SB win?

But, but it's hard...
So many ****ing excuses.
Bring back Bobby Grier!

The SBs have been dominated by Brady and Mahomes the last decade. 7 of the last 10 SBs won by one of them. Having an all time QB can put a team over the top, but a lot of the teams in the top half of that list are perineal playoff teams.

Free Agent Patriots Pro Bowlers in the last 10 years (14-23):
Gilmore
Revis
Judon

Where does NE rank on cash spending?
"They’ve also ranked dead last in cash spending over the last 10 years, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss. New England’s spending in 2021 was a bit of an outlier, Reiss noted. The team spent $222 million during a “then-record binge,” but that was after finishing at the bottom of the league during 2020."

There were a strong set of drafts from 09-13 that set up the 14-18 run.
