And our 2nd has to be alot more attractive to sf than pit or cle’s right now
A 2nd should be attractive to us.

Trade a 2nd for a player we then have to make one of the highest paid at his position?

We’ve become the Browns or Jests… we’re the league doormat. GM’s around the league will look to us when they want to fleece some sucker.

Aiyuk is a legit X receiver. We haven't had one of those since Moss.

Still don't think he's coming here but we'll see. Hope I'm wrong.
If the rumors are legit and we are offering the most money and the framework is agreed to for compensation we should have the inside track. Our pick is likely to be higher than the Browns or Steelers so I would think if Aiyuk wants to come here we would win the sweepstakes.

Cleveland made the playoffs, so it would probably be their 1st.

I was thinking those teams would either need to fork up their 1st or add better picks to the 2nd than whatever we are adding. But if they do the latter wed have the clear advantage since the primary trade asset weighs in far more than the ‘sweetener’.

They’re a legit starting LT away from being a solid team. People keep talking rebuild, what more do they need to rebuild besides the tackle position.

They’re probably picking top 10 next year, boom problem solved.

It’s really early but right now the 2025 LT class looks really weak.

Cooper over Bourne, who’s coming off a torn ACL , is a big difference.

There are two legitimate LTs projected to go in the top 10, right where many are projecting NE to pick.

Bourne has played for Shanahan in SF, and has had success.

The thing about holding onto the pick is first off you don’t know if you will get a player of aiyuks caliber. And furthermore if you do ( which the odds of doing this in round 2 are how low anyway?) youll end up paying him even more in a few years. So may as well do the trade

That’s a big IF.
Second and Bourne seems steep.
Now second and Ju Ju seems about right.

It depends how much they like cooper, yeah. Bourne does have familiarity in sf.

They can have Bourne we have Boutte - Reagor and *Osborn* who is Bourne pt.II.

The real disconnect happening in this Aiyuk conversation is the result of some fans overstating his caliber of player. Christ we just had someone compare him to Randy Moss. He’s closer to KJ Osborn than Randy Moss.

They are a legit starting LT, RT, and QB away from being a solid team. We assume that Maye and Wallace will be great players, but who knows. I think you are also assuming that Polk and Baker are going to be good.

If Judon is gone in 2025 (it looks like it), we need help at EDGE, and another outside CB (J Jones is getting old) as well, to be really good.

But if Wallace, even at RT, Maye, and Polk/Baker are legit, we are getting close with only LT, EDGE and outside CB becoming holes. I agree with next year's draft we can get a LT, EDGE, and CB or WR. We also have a lot of cap space to sign guys to fill these holes as well.

If the Pats' 2024 and 2025 drafts are good, we are back, but that is a big IF. We do have cap space to eliminate some needs as well and FA signings carry a lot less risk.

Hey, based on what I am seeing, Aiyuk is a sure fire hall of fame player.
