Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Says He's 'Messed Up' Without His 'Sweetheart'
By: Ian Logue

Patriots owner Robert Kraft recently sat down with Yahoo! Sports writer Michael Silver, and there's a touching piece available that I wanted to point out for anyone who hasn't seen it....

Wow....is the only word that comes to mind....

I want to comment about the article but I'm not sure I could properly express my thoughts. I struggle with the thought of losing a loved one so close to me so I don't like to think about it much. However, I know there will come a day I will have to face this, as we all will have to if you haven't already.

I know life for Mr. Kraft has forever changed and while knowing all that Mrs. Kraft has done to make this world a better place, she is physically gone forever. I'm sure his day to day activities as well as the special moments are met with emptiness. I imagine this season is going to be very difficult for him. I can only hope he, as well as others who have lost a loved one, can find some sort of daily comfort to help them through the tough times.

The nice thing to see, especially shown in the article is that new friendships are made during times like this.

Wow.

Great piece. Proud to be from Myra's hometown. She and her family are legendary here in Worcester.

But one thing I wouldn't want to be is a Patriots opponent this year. Brady's got a real edge on him, it seems, and now you can see why:

“It’s a special year for him,” Brady says. “We know that. Every time we run out with those patches on our jersey, that’s who we represent, and we’ll be thinking of him. Every game will be emotional in that sense, just cause of what it means for him. We always want to represent him well and do our best for him, and especially now.

“He’s a wonderful person, and I think family has always been what’s most important to him. He gives his life to his family, through and through. And because of that, everyone who knows him understands the loss he’s had to endure.”
