Not a homer Time...just a Pats fan keeping a troll on his toes by trying to bait you. I commend your reaction...a lesser fan might have lost it and been banned.

Touche... without the thing on the "e".

Do steroids make you a better football player? No. They make you stronger. They don't improve technique, work ethic, film study, deisre, leadership, speed, quickness, blocking, tackling ect. ect. They make you stronger. Period. Not nearly as big an advantage as knowing what defense you opponent is in. Not even in the same realm.

yeah, what use would strength be to a football player?

where do you dudes come from, anyway?

:eat3:

I can see you're a true fan. I like that about you. Those of us with sound minds know this is all in fun and fairly meaningless on the "Important things in life" list.

Here's to a great game on Sunday:eat3:

Did you see the interview with Tom Brady before the Buffalo game, he spoke at lengths about the great quarterbacking skills of Losman. If you didn't know better you would think it was a QB with a losing record speaking about his childhood idol 3 time SB winning QB.

BB has taught several of the Pats players the art of the anti-trash talk.

Why aren't body builders football players? They're strong. There's a lot more to football than strength.

No doubt... it's all in fun. :rocker: It would be a lot more fun if we can win on Sunday.

If you think steroids don't give someone an advantage you are either blinded by your own fanaticism, or are dumb. For your sake, I hope it's the former.

Of course they give you a STRENGTH advantage. So we won four superbowls because a few people on our team were stronger than their counterparts? You've got a lot to learn about steroids my man... google it and do some research, no way that's how the dynasty was built.

OLA steeler fan,
welcome to the real world:
Take your 5 Steroids SB wins(one for the thumb ).....and PLEEEEEEEASE join your browns, balt or bungles forum, but never come up again with this lousy TEAM on this PATRIOTS FORUM.

YOUR team is no longer a factor for this 2007 / 2008 season. (b`cause your O-Line is JUST POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR)

enjoy the game and u will see the next Pat victory.:rocker:

Steroids (whether directly or indirectly) improve speed, strength, and endurance. They are not going to make someone a great football player, but the use of steroids coupled with proper technique and/or knowledge will give someone a great advantage over a counterpart that is au naturel.

I'm not saying that is the sole reason the Steelers won championships, but for you to dismiss it as if it had no effect on their ability to win championships is shortsighted, biased, and ignorant.

I never said it had no effect... the effect is minimal. They were the best team of the decade but not because of steroids. Steroids do not improve speed however, that's a misconception. If anything it hurts speed.

Better let Marion Jones and the other track stars know that. No sense in taking the stuff if it has no positive effects on your speed.

You already covered that with endurance, that's why they take it. So you're rolling your eyes at something you answered... enough said. This is an argument that neither of us is going to win, we'll have to agree to disagree... is it really worth bickering over something that happened 30 years ago?

Rodney is right. How many franchise QBs does anybody think are in the league? If you look at Ben's graduating class with Rivers and Eli, who do you think turned out to be the better QB?

People make a lot of excuses for other teams' success but the guy is dangerous on the run and we all know it. He's been sacked a lot but he's avoided many other sacks.

Their OL must be a little suspect for that all to be true.

Yea, imagine how fast Ben Johnson and Marion Jones would have been without steroids.

I don't think the reservations thing was a big deal or disrespectful....alot of teams do that; in fact i think that was 2001 when there was only a week in-between the AFCC and the Superbowl because of 9/11. However it really did help motivate the pats so i liked it for that reason! The pats used similar motivation in the Superbowl when one of the teams was planning the parade already!

The Heinz ward comments just shows a sore loser....that's it!

It wasn't that they made the reservations - it was the Steelers player's and families' luggage sitting in the tunnel from the locker room that the pats players saw on their way to the field that did it...

Let me clarify my stance. When I say we blew I mean that because we were the #1 seed, we were playing at home, we had the leagues best defense, the leagues best rushing attack. Every thing was lined up just like a movie script, then Kordell throws 3 picks and lost us the game. We blew it. You guys cause the picks and deserved to win I don't mean it that way. You were the better team... we had our chance and blew it.
Heheh, it's not the first time that's happened. At least the Steelers earned another shot and got it done.
