Love how this is supposed to be controversial. If Mac thinks advice from a football media guy and QB with a 2-10 lifetime NFL record will help his game then I trust him that he has a good reason to think so.

Anyone else notice he's already played a heck of a lot better in his 2 games back in NE than any of his games with the Chargers? He does have trouble with WR's on drag routes which he got bailed out on a drop early in the Raiders game that would've gone for a TD.

If he returns to form and Gonzalez is the real deal, he is absolutely right. S's will be a question next year though.

The entire approach toward roster management this year is to make the GM look good by obscuring his many errors. But there is isn't enough horseshit in the world, now that we travel by car, to get that thankless job done. The truth will out.

I am still very angry from a few years ago that BB had the Pats practice outside in high teens / low 20s mere days before a Miami mid 80's deg game. I think they really hit on something last week. Sow looked the part of a good starting RG and Onwenu solved the long-running RT problem immediately. IMO they’ve gotta try to extend Onwenu as their RT for the next few years. Solidify the line!
