Maybe, there’s something to the praise we’ve heard about Brian Flores. Many of us couch coaches have wanted a simpler more aggressive defense for some time. Here’s to hoping Trey Flowers is rushing the QB on 3rd down and not trying to cover the likes of LeVeon Bell as we saw in last year’s Steelers game.

This was on two short yardage drills. Glad the D is looking good, but nothing to get carried away about.

I'm very skeptical that Flores will be significantly altering the defensive philosophy or schemes. However, if he's able to teach the defense so that the players can grasp the concepts, their keys/reads/assignments, etc. more easily and quickly, they'll be more confident, less hesitant and, thus, be able to play faster and more aggressively.
