I wonder if Mike really believes what he writes sometimes:

"...The message was clear to me: Players earn their time on the field due to their performance."

"...Channeling that emotion in a more positive way will be a must for the Patriots in these trying times."

These trying times, Mike? My goodness...

Dude's a Liar.

I would hazard a guess that it's a combination of Sow being only one of five starting OL and teams not fearing/respecting the passing game.

I think Sow has been good.

I think it is the same thing. Starting with the last 6 games of Mac's rookie year, teams stop the run with guys in the box and dare Mac to beat them deep. Mac did it on the pass to Henry for the TD but can't consistently do it.

Wade is under contract for next year, and will compete with Bolden for a roster spot.
Gonzo, Jackson, Jo Jones, Ja Jones, Ma Jones are the top 5 at this point.

Bolden will be competing against Bryant and Bledsoe for a back-up safety spot.

Then why can't we run the ball consistently?
Because a 67 isn't good. But why bother putting in the work to learn what the numbers actually mean when you can just sit and spew drunken BS all the time and pretend like you know more than everyone.

Yeah and how did that work for ya coach?
Maybe figure out that they don't have someone in the Secondary who can call out the coverage shifts the way McCourty did and that has a direct bearing on how the players play.

So, basically, he would not be turning them around but merely popping in to take advantage of the groundwork laid by those who preceded him.
I mean "groundwork" in the Bear's case would be draft capital and talent accumulated from consecutive years of extreme suckage but yeah.
