Pat Chung on Jim Rome today

I heard him being interviewed on Moving the chains just before last year's draft and as soon as it was over my first thought was this guy is a New England Patriot and we need to draft him. I knew he was good from watching him in college but that was the first time I heard him in a Q&A session and he was unbelievably mature, confident, humble and articulate throughout the interview. I was stoked when we drafted him.

He is going to be the leader along with McCourtey in the secondary, if he isn't already.

Jim just likened Patriot Football to "Fight Club", whats the first rule of Patriot football, you do not talk about Patriot football, whats the second rule of Patriots football YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT PATRIOTS FOOTBALL....

I hope the smirky shnook calls him Patricia, then Chung turns over the desk and pummels him.

Eugene would be much more insulting.

That's funny...and true.

Regards,
Chris

Chung's Miami postgame interview was terrific. Great attitude. Great presence. Intelligent. Mentioned how the ST coach studied film of how the Jets blocked Miami's kick. Saw the defect on one side. Told the players I bet they'll fix that but if we flip our attack I bet they won't have fixed THAT. Result = 2 blocked kicks. Gave credit to coach and the other guys running the play saying anyone coulda been the guy assigned his lane. This guy has Bruschi/Harrison all over him.

I was wrong. Coreans CAN play football. My bad.

Bruschi and Seau were on the team Chung's rookie year?

Bruschi was in camp before he retired at the end of Aug. Seau was signed in October.

What this proves is you can't judge a player after their rookie year. Chung wen't from being Mr. perpetually-out-of-position to being a future all-star, and likely leader of the second generation D, in a year. Brace went from overdrafted, lazy NT bust to up-and-coming run 3-4 stuffer.

Imagine how McCourty will look like in year two or Hernandez.

When we're three years in to Cunningham and The Crab terrorizing quarterbacks, I'll concede this as a general rule. Till then I'll just say: don't give up hope too easily!

I want to see this too. I can't wait to post "so and so caught a case of the Crabs"

Woosa. Or as Mat Millen says, woosaad. I'm starting to think that Millen guy doesn't get it.

Are you being sarcastic? If so that is funny.

But Eugene is not his father.
