no field goals in OT would make it work. the problem is that its so easy to move the ball 30-40 yards and kick the field goal, if you gotta march 70 yards and score would be better. Or maybe only FG's from the red zone.

The system as is, though the discontent with the coin toss is legit, is probably best the way it is.

OR, first team to score 4 points instead of sudden death.

I don't know if anyone saw BB's thoughts on OT. He'd like to see OT be a 7.5 minute mini-period, after which it becomes sudden death. That would mean in almost all cases that each team would get the ball, and introduces all the end-of-game strategies to OT.

The more I think of what he's suggesting, the better I like it.

Moving back the kickoff point 5 yards doesn't do a damn thing in fixing this problem.

I like that idea.

I don't care what anyone says, that BB knows his football.

I really have no problems with a tie. How many times towards the end of a season do we see "X will win the Division with a win or a tie"? I think it would add even more excitement to a lot of end of season games if the tie were a possibility. If you can't win it in 60 minutes, do you really deserve the win?
