I think the temptation to make Milton a designated hail mary guy ala Bishop back in the day will be really enticing.

Is that worth a spot on the game day roster, though? Remember: an "extra" QB3 can only enter the game if QB1 and QB2 are both unavailable (not benched).

- Jacoby Brissett takes bulk of QB reps, followed by Zappe, Maye, then Milton.- Vets have priority for now over rookies, with Maye/Milton behind vet QBs. But that also true of other spots.- Early-down emphasis with lengthy run/play-action period in 11-on-11s.- Liked Maye’s urgency to get to top of drops. Feet looked sudden. Release/shoulders remain work in progress.- Christian Gonzalez did some 7-on-7 work & positional drills. Looked like Gonzo.- Antonio Gibson looks like a good fit in the offense. Speed plays in OTA setting.

Significant difference between Maye and Milton footwork. Maye looks a lot smoother.

This is exactly what we want. The worse Milton's fundamentals at this point, the better, because it elevates his theoretical ceiling. Maye, we want to need only a few minor adjustments that lead to tangible progress.

I wonder what Zappe looking "shaky" means exactly.

Maye looking good deep but inconsistent underneath makes sense. That's kind of the scouting report on him right now and he is retooling his footwork on top of things.

Dont understand this take at all. So he thinks that they cut Milton before training camp? That makes no sense. If that is indeed the plan (which was quoted from Breer and not anyone on the team), then Zappe will be the odd one out.

This has to be expected, this is a top flight defense going against an offense trying to find an identity.

Don't be surprised when our offense struggles, every offense in the league will struggle against this D if healthy.

If the defense isn't way ahead of the brand new offense at this point, the team is in enormous trouble. Our defense is projected to be proficient, offense has miles and miles to go.
