OT: What to do about synching radio and TV...

I have for years been able to listen to Gil and Gino while watching the Pats...(on Tv...w/o a cable box...) Last night was the worst as there was a difference of 4-5 seconds between the radio broadcast and the video. "morris through the line for 1, 2 tackled..." And then, I could look up and WATCH the play. Ugh....
I wonder if others have problems like this and what CAN be done..I thought of buying another TV..and just using rabbit ears so I could watch as it is happening...and then look up at cable almost as a 5 sec running replay...any thoughts as to how to watch them in synch?? (For so many years this has NEVER been a problem..but with advanced technology..it's not good OR better..) Thoughts??

Chris & Co's solutions seem the best bet to me.
I'm away from home at the Cape but down here I listened to G&G while watching Comcast without HD. G&G were slightly behind the video by a second or two. During the 1st half radio 95.1 lost the feed for 7-8 minutes. When they came back G&G were 5 seconds AHEAD of the video. Unlistenable. After a couple ad breaks they fixed it.
My conclusion is that the radio to video lead/lag is unpredictable and different for analog TV vs digital.

Some people swear by they can use their DVR to synch the a/v
At first I thought, that's not unreasonable at all... it would actually be a pretty lo-tech solution. It might take a few attempts, but all you'd have to do is pause and/or rewind/FF until you have a reasonable sync with radio... until I realized that the radio broadcast precedes the TV feed. SO in essense, the claim is that the audio can be fed through the DVR and then delayed?
