the point is , is it similar to "system restore" on XP

I'm assuming he has XP running...why would anyone buy a restore product when it's bundled in your XP software for free?

as an example...my IE got hijacked by some unknown trojan a week ago....I spent hours doing scans and talking with Dell techs trying to figure out what it was...as a last resort I did a system restore to the first of the month and the problem disappeared.Very handy little tool

Goback does more than system restore. It allows you to undo registry changes like system restore does, but it also remembers new files and changes you make to any of the existing files on the system and can delete them or revert to the old version, or undelete files which have been deleted. The downside of this is that you need to set aside a lot of disk space for Goback's use, and disk access in general slows down.
